I'm looking for a soft tail bag for my 2009 BV250. I'm still considering a top case but since the '09 is still pretty new, Piaggio/Givi don't seem to have specs on them.

I like the look of some of the WolfMan stuff and have seen others as well. I don't want a huge bag; just something reasonably sized to supplement my messenger bag and underseat storage. Also, I want something that doesn't restrict my ability to open the seat.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

David. I had the same problem with my '09 BV500. You can get a GIVI top case by ordering the E344 adapter plate. It fits trust me I went through all this nonsense already.

I ordered a Coocase topcase for mine. With a couple extra holes drilled it will also fit on that E344 adapter plate.

Here is more info on it.
Grrr this topcase situation is frustrating me. (BV500)

I've got a top case on my BV 200 but I also use a soft sided bag with all my soccer refereeing gear in it. I bought it because the Volusia didn't have any storage at all. It is specifically for motorcycles/scooters.

It bungees down to the under side of the rear fender and I have to take it off to open the pet carrier. I can't remember the brand name off the top of my head but I'll look it up when I get home.

ScooterTrap has a couple of soft side options on the BV250 page.

Mine's a Cortech Sport Tailbag.

Lots of pockets, rain cover and it makes a nice back rest.

We have two of these on our GTS'. They hold an adequate amount of stuff. These are sold by Scooterworks.

An almost identical item is sold by Motorsport in San Diego:

A friend recently used a First Gear tailbag on her BV250- it fit really well, held a lot of stuff and was a great backrest. I'm going to order one myself:

Have you looked at the MOTOFIZZ bags? They have three sizes and I've heard lots of good things about the quality.

Did you have any issues mounting it? I really don't want it to prevent access to the seat. Pics would be awesome Thanks for the info; I'm narrowing my selections!!!

No it's got "bungee" cord on it with plastic hooks so you just hook it onto the fender. I'll try and get a picture at lunchtime.

You can see the cover just peeking out of it's pouch.

It's got a nice handle so you can carry it. I put all my soccer refereeing gear in it.

Wow, thanks for the pics. I see that you also have a topcase. Will the Cortech bag attach to the BV's "tail" without problems and still permit you to open the seat?

Cool, thanks for the recommendation also. Is yours on the tail on on the passenger seat? I like both the Cortech and FirstGear bag but probably should decide on just one .

I've only had my top case off once just to see how it worked but I'm sure the Cortech bag would work on there without it. You just need some type of platform to hold the bag whether it be the seat like I use or the back of the scoot.
