Conchscooter, it looks pretty wild down there at the moment

It also looks like the S is ideal for weaving round the flotsum and jetsum!

Hello from NYC!
Been riding my 2011 S150 (in NYC-glossy black, of course) on the mean streets of the five boroughs for the past two years.
She's a tough little ride, and unfortunately gets knocked around a bit by inconsiderate and careless parkers. That said, she's the most agile thing on the road when she's in motion. I ride her all year long, unless it's snowing. (tried that once -- it wasn't pretty)
Shouts out to all the New Yorkers out there -- I see you all out on the streets, but not really online...

Attached is a pic of her all shiny from the summer:
-Roger

I hope the pup wasn't abandoned. Those stories break my heart, although he looks healthy.
I'm a little north of you but took off during irma and went to stay with friends in SC. I escaped damage.
Let's hope this year is calm.

New Vespa S150 owner - Glovebox
Hey Guys
I'm a brand spankin new vespa owner in dallas.
I recently purchased a gently used S.
I love it, but i've questions on the glove box.
Anyone know why it's just two cups instead of an enclosed box?
And secondly, why is there a raised cup in the bigger cup?
Is it for change? I can't imagine change staying there.
I can barely wedge my phone in there....

Thanks for any responses!

There are two pockets instead of the glovebox so that the legshield can be thinner and less obtrusive than on the LX and LXV models. They might not be there at all except that the "raised cups" have to be there anyhow. That's because those provide the spaces for the running-light reflector housings (specifically, the light bulb socket wiring behind the reflector housings).

I was after a 125 Zaff for ages, ended up buying a white S

just had a look on Ebay and found these..

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vespa-Zafferano-125-Black-aluminum-Weighted-Bar-Ends-13-17mm/123975549323?hash=item1cdd84c18b:g:aS4AAOSwzL9dzXeh

looks to me like an expanding rubber bung arrangement?

however, it could also be that the thread's already there, like on the Primavera ..

if you do fit some, let me know, as I might go for some myself

Thanks for your reply! Looking at the listings I think these are universal fit as they have the same weights posted under plenty of different bike names. Super helpful though!

I'm going to do some research into whether the thread is already in the bars I'll let you know the outcome!

Hello, I've finally got my first Scooter a 2009 S only approx 4K miles only problem being a 2 month wait for CBT around here in Mid Wales / Shropshire looking forward to getting out riding asap.
great choice, pretty much a clone of mine, even down to the blemish on the mudguard

Don't be scared to put the miles on it, I live in the West Midlands and have ridden to Tenby, Aberystwyth, Long Mynd on mine. Although i don't like the look of the flyscreen, it does add a few mph which is handy when your doing 200 miles + runs.

Another thing I added was the rear grab-rail which makes it easier for getting on the main stand.

Hope you get the CBT sorted soon so we can see some 'action shots'

Cheers, looks like you weren't too far from me in that 1st pic , Elan Valley ? I was thinking about a fly screen as well Aberystwyth will probably be a regular run for me to see the sea. Hopefully the action shots won't be too long coming CBT booked for end of July.

Yes, Elan Valley, and Fishguard was the second pic.

I find if I stay off motorways, they are a great little go anywhere bike
