I purchased the Faco rear crash bars last November (2009) on Black Friday. Killer deal from scooterwest.
I was worried they'd be more show then actually protective, but that came to rest a few weeks ago when someone knocked my S150 over. The result? a few small scratches on the crash bar, three small paint chips on the lower bottom portion of the footrest, and a small tear on my grip. Luckily, no dents and scratches in the cowl. the mirror had a very very small ding on it, however that issue was resolved when I had to purchased a new mirror after someone recently stole mine. in summary, the crash bar worked very well.....definitely recommended. |

Here's mine taken a wee while ago. I'm loving having my Vespa. Although with the current bad weather, he's safely locked away in the garage.
For everyday use, I've got the black floor mat on it, to protect the floor from grubby feet, mud & general cruddy stuff. |

I hate winter!
Darn this snowy winter weather!!!! I'd go out and buy one now if there wasn't suddenly 6 inches of snow. I picked the wrong season to become obsessed with Vespa....ugh.

Went to the dealership today...
...for the 3rd time. Filled out a form to see if i'm qualified for this "no down no payments for 6 months" deal. If I am then I might just get my scoot sooner than I expencted. I really hope I have the good credit and all that. I just got my first job so I dunno if I am but let's hope and pray...i really want one of these! My motorcycle class to get my endorsement is next month too...things are lookin up!

Nope..
Turns out I'm not qualified...cuz I have no credit at all...of course. BUT I need a cosigner and its all good, right? Wrong. NO ONE will cosign with me. It's like when it comes to money my family is super stingey and won't help anyone ever. Guess I'll have to wait another year...grrrrrr

I've noticed some of these have a kick start and some of them don't....is not having one a problem? I'm getting a black one next month. do all the s 150s have one?

Nope, they don't all have them. Mine doesn't, I have a 2009. I can't remember if they stopped putting them on or if they're just on the euro models. I've never had a problem, just adjust the idle for temperature change!

My S' , also black, is an 08 and I believe is the last year to feature a kick start. I've only kick started like 2-3 times and only after the engine had already been running. Supposed to be an alternative way of starting especially if the battery is dead. I don't have much faith in that & piaggio subsequently has dropped the kick start on newer models.

As much as I know in France all the S50s have kickstart but I don't think the 2011 S150 does.

Yea I'm thinkin of making some custom car magnets for it so I don't have to stick anything right on it. Most likely the cat from FLCL, Takkun. lol. As for Nikke, I love those white wall tires!
I took some pix, hopeing to get some better quality ones soon. Black and purty. I named her Scoot. lol |

Congratulations Scootnoob. We all know the giddy excitement that comes with the delivery of that new scooter.
The magnet idea is good. I buy magnet sheets at office stores, put stickers on them & cut to shape. Heavy duty magnets are not needed. I've never had one fly off. It's fun to decorate the scooter to fit my whim for the day |

Great pics scnooby! Yeah car magnets are great you can always change things around without too much hassle. really like mockers idea. Thinkin' bout changing my scoots doubles T's to White Sox logos for baseball season.

New Scooterist!
Hello everybody, good to be here. I'll post pictures as soon as the weather clears up here in Nebraska!
Just wondering if anyone has a kickstand for her/his scooter and if so, how is it working out for you? Thinking about getting one, but I don't want to risk it getting blown/tipped over! Thanks |

Can easily picture scenario(s) where the bike ends up on it's side. Think it can be modified to stay down under spring tension, welding involved though. |

Hermes' old glamorshots
Here are some pictures of my scooter that the previous owner took. I haven't had the chance to take any myself, but they'll come as soon as the weather improves which is apparently going to take a while.
And now, introducing HERMES!! |

I'm new here, so hi!
I just bought my first Vespa on Friday and will be picking it up from the dealer on Wednesday. I've had a crush on them for years and finally live somewhere that having one can have practical applications (it's my new commuter vehicle) as well as be fun. I'll post pics as soon as the Millenium Pigeon is home. |
