Witch is correct the LX kit fits the S

all the boltings fit in existing holes apart from 2, you need to drill 2 holes in the plastic horn cover (that I hated doing) then the holes underneath are there

but once the front bars and rack is on you dont see any holes at all

Im glad I dont it as I personally think it looks good and finishes it off

I took my motorcycle class again after failing last month with a -28 (can only miss 20 points to pass), and I aced it. I took it on my scoot this time and did totally fine. Driving a scooter is 1000 times easier than a motorcycle. Now I just gotta wait til Monday to go to the Dmv and get my licence. About time!

Congrats man!!!
Having a bummer weekend here. My S150 is kinda being held up at the dealer because they kinda lagged on getting the financing all hooked up and... bah, whatever... It wasn't me, that's all I know. Didn't think it would take a week or more for the buying process to actually happen. It's not like buying a car, which is almost too quick. I WAS dying to get my bike, but now I'm absolutely crushed not to be riding this weekend.

Oh well, Monday might be the day I guess.
*sigh*

That does suck...but the buying process shouldn't take that long. I walked in to the dealership, told them I want this scoot, they said ok we'll get the paperwork going...an hour later I'm out the door with the scooter. I had to sign like 20 different papers but it still only took an hour. Just chill out, its worth the wait.

On a side note, I ordered a floor mat for my scoot, cost 60 bucks...expected to wait a week to get it..got it 3 days later. Scootwest.com is awesome. Fast shipping and everything. They have all the stuff the dealership has but for a little bit less. For someone like me who has to save every bit of cash thats a good thing. My chrome licence plate cover took a week and a half from amazon but atleast it came at the same time as my mat lol. My scooters starting to look spiffy. Now for the needlessly expensive top box....

I'll just be happy to have mine...

There's no way this should take this long. Monday is my cut-off day.... no scooter = refund.

What are they doing? Are they a bunch of toddlers? You should already have your scooter by now. That would make me so angry. I'd complain to the head guy and tell him his dealership is total crap. They should hurry it up! GRR my biggest pet peeve is when people get in my way and when people stop me from getting what I want. Totaly not cool what they are doing to you.

Thanks for the support. I'm not good at being angry, and I'm generally a push over....this is too much. Crying or Very sad emoticon

Man I wish I could ride more during the week, but it won't be my main commuter bike for a little while until I get my new work location... Crying or Very sad emoticon

Did a 50 mile ride on Sunday, and it was soooooooooooo rad.

Coming together quite nicely scnooby. That Iron Rider bag looks bigger than the sx bag and others on the market. You'll be surprised how much room you'll need for longer excursions and commuting. Looking forward to those pics nipomo. Gotta love them S150's & S50's too.

About the Buzzetti side stand...
EDIT: So I took it back and got my money back. Thats it. Don't buy a side stand, its not worth it when your scoot tips over in a small gust of wind.

Where are all the S pictures? We need more! I'll just have to take even more pictures of mine! I know you guys love seeing the same black Vespa over and over lol.

2011 Vespa S 150 i.e.

She's only 2 weeks old and came with a Vespa helmet, upgraded touring seat, and rear grab bar all for free!

I painted the horn cover and engine access panel matte black.

Faco rear rack for 2008 vespa s 125
Hi everyone
just picked up the above for my wife, and have bought faco rear rack for it.
had a brief look last night and cant seem to work out where it fits. can anyone post any pics of one fitted and how it fits under the seat please.
Also is there a smaller height seat that is available to fit or alternatively adjustable shocks that would reduce seat height?
Thanks
David

YET ANOTHER Rear rack question
I just got my S 150 yesterday (woohoo!), so i am a total newbie to this Vespa ownership experience, but I realized the common rear rack dilemma... I have read on this forum, on other threads, about malfunctioning of foldable rear racks. Why do most people have foldable racks anyway? Is there something awesome about foldable racks that I am missing? I am just wary of the things I read about them...

Which non-foldable rack do you all recommend for "S"
How about this one? Anyone bought this before?
http://www.scooterwest.com/item_details/LX-top-case-rack-FACO/230

Thanks for all of your help!

I don't recommend riding with two people on an S. Maybe on one of the 250-300cc scoots, but this scoot is too small. dangerous with too much weight. uncomfortable = potentialy dangerous. I'd never let anyone ride with me.

As for the Faco rack question people, I own the folding rack and it works fine fits perfect. Its a no-brainer to put it on. figure it out its not hard. I know its stupid they don't include instructions but thats because its easy enough.

The S/LX/LXV 150 are fine for two up. Many do it often. Some even do it on 50s. I wouldn't recommend doing it with the sport seat. The passenger would be uncomfortable & at risk of sliding right off the rear of the seat.

Ride with the wife & sometimes my daughters on my S150. We solved the
problem with topcase & backrest pad. You could also do the same with an LX or ET backrest/sissy bar. The LX/S frame is roughly the size of a P series or a GP Lammy simular braking & handling so 2 up is'nt too bad .

There now post 667 I've been purged Nerd emoticon

My new Vespa S50
Hi, this is my new Vespa S50 It's a wonderful scoot and I'm very happy with my choice.

I have an issue aligning the headlight as they say in the user manual but unfortunately I don't have access to the screw, there's a very tight space. Can anybody help me on this one?

Kindest regards.

I had the same problem. You have to remove the front cover beneath the headlight. Pop off the Piaggio medallion (there is a clip on one side) and remove the screw at the top and bottom of the cover. Once the cover is off, you can adjust the headlight easily.
