About time for an oil change...
Im thinking, 1000 miles after my last oil change from the dealership, that I should change my oil. I'm just wondering, all you S enthusiests, how to go about changing the oil and what oil to use? I want to do it myself, seeing how it costs $ to get the dealership to do it. The last time was a free complimentary first time change, but after that I'm guessing they will charge an arm just to change it when I could do it myself for just the price of the oil and/or filter. Please help, I'm lazy and don't wanna ask my dealership how to do it.

I got my S150 today!
I bought an S150 today after a couple of months of research and lusting! It's red, because that's the only color vehicle I've driven for years. A rear rack (from Vespa) is on order. I'm trying to decide on a top box - probably will get one since my helmet barely fits under the seat. Also deciding on a windshield.
I'm new at riding, so I will be taking the beginner's course in a couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone of this forum for your pictures and your helpful information! Just got delivered. Helmet matches perfectly!
My wife got creative.

Okey, one more question! About the flyscreen, it feels when you ride better with it or not? Is it really worth buying or it's just a nice part witch makes your S looking good as hell ;D

Yeah, good move Scootnoob
I think i should share my todays story oh man, my S50 felt on side today for the first time i raised it on standing legs and it was soft ground under it one guy sitted on it, i know him, and the Vespa leaned on a side a little it looked pretty good not falling so didn't mind about that but after 5mintues it it felt Well, nothing big happened just reflector broke and brake lever a little bit bended, but thats fine now the reflector is being glued and is drying. Thanks god no scratches on the side! Okey to keep it gallery one photo from my last trip Ah, nice ride that was, you can check more photos on Topic "Lithuania is my country" |

You'll find so many more pictures on the Facebook page...Enjoy! In front of the Lincoln capital building. My scoot's in the middle somewhere...
My Hermes! He looks damn good, huh?
Scoot to Thrill's logo!!
We went on a scavenger hunt...one of the objectives was to mark down the 4 things prohibited by one of our public libraries, haha!
Here is our official event banner above tables of raffle prizes...we raised a good chunk of money for our local food bank!
Here's a photo of me going over the teeter totter at our Gymkhana event...if you'd like to see the full obstacle course, there's a video of me bumbling through it on the facebook page. Someone else did it waaaay better, but unfortunately, his talent and s
Finally, here is an inspiring and awesome picture of us riding to our final destination - a picnic at beautiful Pioneers Park. P.S. These are not all the scooterists...some had to leave early to get back home to Chicago, CO Springs, Kansas City, etc.

New Windshield
I got a full size Vespa windshield and cut it down to a midsize. The full size is way too tall for my taste. I read about cutting windshields in another forum and it turned out to be a pretty easy task.
I cut it so the top is about even with my mouth - it's low enough to see and high enough that the wind goes over my helmet. It cuts down on turbulence at higher speeds and will really help when it gets cold. It doesn't seem to impact the top speed (based on a couple of trips). The windshield is easy to install and remove - takes me less than 5 minutes to tighten the 2 bolts. I plan to leave it off while it's hot and put it on when it starts getting cooler this fall. Here are a couple of pictures with the windshield. |

s50 auckland
my week-old s50 only does 46kmh and as far as i know, speed limit here (auckland, nz) is 50kmh and tolerance is 10kmh over. therefore safe speed is 50kmh. anybody has similar issue?

yuffer as i understand you want it a little bit faster? you should derestrict your Vespa I'm working on it too. If you want to do it by yourself wright massage to Fabio Daugie(search in members category) He should help, if you are not going to do it by yourself so just go to your dealer they should make the thing safe riding

Road Trip!
I took my first road trip today - it was about 100 miles. Found a some great roads to ride in the countryside. This time of year in northern Alabama it's great for riding and the trees have some very nice color. Also it's cotton picking time, but I found a field that has not been picked yet to snap a photo.
The cotton is waiting to be picked.

love my Sssssss!
greetings!
new here, new to scooting. have about 4 weeks under my belt and loving every minute of it. my 2008 s is damn close to pristine, a tiny, nearly imperceptible scratch just gives her character, I think (or at least that's what I tell myself). Added a few accessories, love the windscreen. one of my french bulldogs has taken a liking to her, too |

RE: Love my Sssssss!
Welcome to the world of Scootering "blue_eyed_pixie", & your dog is very comfortable so it seems..lol my S model is also a 2008 model witch had one previous owner who put 15 miles on clock & then taken it back to dealership..has he found that he missed the bigger bikes. So I snapped this up like a rocket...although I find that a few people on the net do own Vespa S's, I on the other hand have never seen anybody actually riding one. I'm a member of a Scooter club & we go on ride outs twice a week but like the purist's, they do prefer the PX models or older. But i love the S Model & i'm hoping very shortly to get some chrome kit on it plus fly screen. Enjoy!!!

Road Trip to see Covered Bridges
We rode out yesterday to see three Covered Bridges in Blount County (Alabama). Unfortunately, all three are closed to traffic since they are not maintained.
It is the longest road trip I've taken so far - 155 miles. It was very windy so we got buffeted a lot. Thanks for all the inspiration you folks have given me to get out there and ride. The Vespa is a great way to enjoy the countryside! One of Alabama's Covered Bridges
