Hi all, it is advertised as a px150 but it probably is a et4.

http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/Motorbikes/Mopeds-Scooters/AdNumber=TP000737366?BackToResult=true

$1800 australian dollars is about $1250US and i could probably bargain it down a couple of hundred... they sold for around $5000 new here
Has a bit of damage but is it worth (as in difficult, time consuming and $$) fixing.
I can probably bash the panels back into shape and have a friend weld them together, and paint. Is this all it needs to be safe? Also is there an easy way to replace the front mudguard or does the whole fork need to be removed
thanks in advance

In the U.S., I would automatically write that off as a scam. I don't know if the scam epidemic has reached Australia yet, but if so, this is a perfect candidate.

Advertise a make/model scooter at a ridiculously low price, show a picture of something completely different. A true idiot's "bait and switch."

If it IS the real deal, and you think you can knock 'im down some more on the price, why not? Modern scoots for under $1000 that can be driven are a rare beast.

i paid £400 for one of mine in better shape than that. mind you ET4s are as cheap as chips over here.

to replace the front mudguard the fork has to come off.

i dont think it is a scam as it is an item which needs to be picked up and paid for at time of collection, that website isnt like an ebay auction.

it is cheap because of the damage, and i would like to know if that damage is fixable without excessive hassle, i dont mind giving it a shot but not if it is something that cant be fixed...

I am going to try and inspect it later today.

I am used to working on older vespas and really dont know much about the newer ones...

Is there any information out there on how to drop the forks to change the mudguard and maybe something on body panels for the et4

thanks

Cosmetic work isn't cheap. However if you go to see it and it looks/rides sound and you can live with what's dented go for it. This is assuming you'll get it a very good price. That way if the dents start to be costly it won't bother you to ride it not perfect. That's my take on it. Good luck
