Im sure there has been posts on this subject already Maybe its just me but I don't reckon the headlight on my vespa is strong enough. At times when driving at night the ground is barely visible at times..It seems as if the light is just more of a warning light to make you highly visible to other road users....Ive heard of people using different bulbs? any better?

I had the same problem on my ET - I switched to the European Halogen headlight - HUGE difference - Eureka! I can finally see at night. I'd highly recommend it.

Jimc is going to totally disagree but I drive with my highbeem on day and night, plus I put in a Sylvanias brightest bulb in and I can see mucho better, even on low beem.
Now Jimc says in England, cagers will want to punch you out for driving like that, which I dont have that problem here in Soul Cal, but Id rather have someone mad at me and see me than someone not see me and kill me. |

UK LX headlamps use the old type Bosch Ba20d fitting. They are appalingly awful. There is a halogen upgrade bulb available in Halfords. It is 35/35watts like the original globe bulb.
You should have bought a GTS125... much more powerful and much better H4 headlight all for a couple of hundred quid more!! |
