Modern Vespa

Hey everyone! The bad news became good news, which became sort of bad news again. Max finally got his new pin striping paint job while I was away on vacation in New Orleans. I got the check from the guy (who knocked him over)'s insurance company the day that I left for my trip. Dropped Max off at the painter, mailed the check from a reputable hotel mailbox in NOLA to my bank in CA, picked up Max, and to my delight he is beautiful! Bad news is that the check never hit my bank... but the insurance company says it's been cashed. I may be out all of the money if someone has stolen my check, even though I wrote my account number underneath my signature.

I'm going to concentrate on how awesome the paint job is and not the fact that I may be paying for all of it. The pinstriping on the front cowl is not visible in the photo. It's tan & teal on the blue/green front, and it adds a certain je ne sais qua.

Love it! I'm considering something similar on my LX... I have since I purchased it, actually, but I just can't make up my mind how much (or how little) I want done, where I want it, and in what colors...

Great paint!! Can the Insurance company not find what bank and go pull security tapes??? Hell that is a felony whoever stole and cashed your check.

Nice job! I really like the colors you picked. I would ask for a copy of the check with the endorsement. Best of luck with that situation.
