Hello everyone. Since mid-July, I'm the proud 2nd owner of a 2006 LX50 that started with about 2600 miles and is now at about 3000. It runs very well, for the most part, except for this minor, but more frequently engaging issue.
In the mornings when i hop on to ride it to work it sometime won't start right away. It will turn over slightly sounding like it's "out of breath" or trying hard and just can't muster the necessary energy. I've tried walking it 20 feet or so or releasing a little more gas and then starting. All in all it only sets me back about 30 seconds to a minute, but seeing as how it's getting colder i'm feeling this might happen more and more.
A couple of things that may be good to know... I fill it with premium gasoline and this problem usually only happens when i get down to about half-a-tank or less, in which case i can just go fill 'er up and be rid of the symptoms. However, on a full tank this morning, the same problem arose. My commute to work is about 3 miles so gas tends to sit in the tank for almost a month before i'm close to empty making me think that somehow the gasoline could lose its potency (if that's even possible)
I definitely do not know my way around the engine so if something needs to be cleaned then someone has to tell me. While i admit my ignorance for scooter maintenance, i'm not beyond diving in as deep as i need to go to solve this. Thanks for any insight anyone can shed on this for me!
