The S and the LX are built on the same frame and engine - you need only think what it would cost to develop a unique frame or engine to know this is true. If you look at Vespa design they change seats, headset, gloveboxes - but there are only two real scoots - smallframe and largeframe. I like the S because losing the glove box makes for more foot/leg room for us larger people, and I think it looks bitchin' while the LX looks girlie - but hell, you know what they say about taste.

All that said, I am amazed you managed to escape what looks to be a horrendous accident with bruises. Good gear and good luck!
