Ok, so got 400 miles on the scoot and am comfortable though after a bit my tookus starts to go numb. So, I'm looking into getting a seat cover.

Which is better and why or why not?? Consider I'll be riding round mostly year round except on extreme thunder/lightning type weather.

Thanks for your input!

Gel.....gel seat...gel bicycle riding shorts...GEL...definitely. Think about this..Cold, wet fur...Now, sit on it... Okay, not cold and wet...but fur lint on the butt...Walk around and be sexy NOW......Gel

jacq

I made my choice and nobody knows it when I'm walking or riding. Also, the gel bicycle riding pants just add to the impact resistance assistance under my riding pants should the undesirable happen...gel

Followup to jacq's prior thread on gel seat pads...guess you could get gel and sheepskin since the factory http://www.thepropad.com makes it with a leather, fabric, or sheepskin cover..so choose to your butt's content. Still wondering what the pluses, minuses are to the different top covering of the gel pad (which I will be buying soon).

Jacq..I forgot to ask what size did you buy to fit the mp3 250 seat? and if you had to do it again would you buy the same size or go up or down in size?

I use the bicycle gel pants for the scoot, but I used a gel seat not seat cover for my Mongoose bicycle. It was great..I would recommend the use of gel anyway you can get it. I just have the gel pants and like them. Don't know about scooter seat sizes.
cheers..jacq

With just 400 miles you'll be feeling it big time. You do get used to it, honest - iron butt comes to those who ride.

Jimc, you are a wealth of information however I must diverge from your opinion on this matter. I'd rather be have SUPPLE BUTT than an IRON one. LOL
