Modern Vespa

I have seen other gear kits for the LX150 and most of the descriptions have said it will not help performance. but this one that I have found says it will increase top end. Does anyone know what the gear ratio of the stock LX150 is? Has anyone heard any good/bad things about this gear kit? The gear kit says the ratio of these gears is 17/44, is this different or the same as the stock LX150?

I have a question for you. Are you hitting the rev limiter regularly? Is that limiting your top speed?

If yes, higher final drive will help your top speed, but you will sacrifice acceleration.

If no, higher final drive will do nothing for your top speed, and may even lower it if the motor can't pull the gear.

Ah, I saw and responded to your other thread about gear ratio but knowing that this is the info you want...

I think you want the MAX. gear ratio for the stock transmission. The short answer to "what is the gear ratio?" is that it's constantly changing (sort of). But it does max out.
