Modern Vespa

Hi all, I am from uk and am trying to find some of the m7 flanged exaust bolts that hold the exaust to the engine. I believe they are copperised to prevent seizing but mine were just that and had to be chopped off when I was fitting my new exaust. I have a vespa gt 125l. Anyone know where I could get some of these of does anyone have any they could sell and post me.

I found a place but they said 14 days for delivery (ouch) and bike has been off the road for 3 week already.

Also I got some regular m7 nuts but they come loose pretty quick anyone know if using a washer would hold them on better whilst waiting for the coperised flanged ones to come.

Beedspeed has the copperized M7 exhaust flange nuts. I've ordered them before, and they arrived fairly quickly (from the UK to the US).

Unfortunately, their search function seems to be broken right now...

yeah thier whole site seems a bit dodgy atm wanted to give them a call but thier contact page is down

my vespa was written off when a bus decided to hit me jus finished repairing the whole thing and all thats stopping it from going on the road is these two bolts now.

Just ask your nearest dealer. If they haven't any in stock they'll get them in the next day. When fitting them smear on some Optimol to prevent seizure the next time.

Optimol is the high-temperature equivalent of Coppaslip, good for 1,100 degrees C - expensive, but a little tube goes a long way, obtainable from BMW dealers.

thx jim ill put some of that on, its my dealer that said 14 days said they gotta order em from italy, damn italians haha

Phone up another local dealer - many sensible dealers keep them in stock, as they're cheap as chips and when you want one you want one NOW!

But I can believe they're on back-order, Fowler's haven't really gripped their stock control.

most of the dealers aroud here are totally useless haha, I only rode the bike for 5 week before I got knocked off and it had a full service/mot when i bought it.

The amount of things wrong we have found when putting it back together is laughable.

and boy oh boy these modern vespas are made of some crap or really dont like uk weather, the rust is nasty haha
