Hi! I have had my ET4 for about 5 years now and absolutely love it. Never had any real problems with it but unfortunately had my first crash a couple of weeks ago. As a result the side of my bike is scratched up pretty bad. I have enquired at my local garage about having it sorted but they have advised me it would be way to expensive and not really much point. I disagree!

I'm currently a student so can't really afford a professional re-spray so was wondering if anyone had any advice they could give me on places to check out, or if someone wants to help me for a small fee, or just some advice on how to do it myself. Some of the scratches are quite deep, there aren't any dents though. I'm not too sure I have the skills to carry out this work!

I live in the London area.

If someone shares the same love for their vespa as I do then you will understand that I can't keep my bike looking like this!

Can you post pics of the damage? If it's just scratches and not dents, you should at least go to a body shop and get an estimate on a paint job. If the scratches are deep enough to see metal, you definitely have to put something over them-vinyl decals, spray can paint job, whatever. If they're not too bad you could also get some touch up or color matched paint and fill 'em in yourself.

Or maybe you can find a local scooter restorer with a spray set up who will take pity on you.

Rather than doing the whole bike, you could just have the cowls redone, perhaps with a different colour (no colour matching required).
