but then again, I did do it in the mid-seventies...dug it out of a box in the basement and scanned it for posterity...Obviously, I wasn't nearly the 'classy guy' then that I am now.

A little R. Crumb, a little Clay Wilson, any one remember when Fat Freddy got his moped? "I'm gonna make it into a chopper..." What else is in your basement? R

Great that you kept it! Now march back on down to the basement and bring us other treasures! (You can frame this one for your office and hang it next to the old concert posters that are surely in the same box!)

I have almost zero scooter-related art in the ol' archives, especially the vulgar, crudely drawn, fun stuff like this, that's why this one stood out. Though not at all funny, containing no scooters, and much refined in execution, I resurrected the basic style in this 2002 'Bike Night' poster, all drawn with ink on frosted mylar....(I still have the original art, and a bunch of the printed posters). The 'insider poop trivia' with this poster, is that I drew-in my own Hayabusa, and 'Bigfun' was what it's custom license plate read. |

I like your Bike Night Poster, and your fantasy art. But where is your Scooter Madness design available? R

I may make it available again in the future, but not on Cafe press, they're just too expensive for these things, and there's little to nothing left for the original artists. Cafepress isn't worth messing with unless an item is intended to be a non-profit in the first place. I'd rather just sell the design and the rights to it to another party than go out myself and spend a bunch on getting it traditionally printed..I really don't have the resources to do that sort of thing right now. |
