Modern Vespa

Can anybody suggest a light tranportable cover that fits a PX or P200?

I have a Dowco for my GTS, but it has quite large and heavy - I can't imagine carrything that thing around with me in the pet carrier.

Nelson Rigg brand.

I've got a nelson rigg. It's not the toughest cover (already has a small rip from who knows what... can't be much since I just slip it on and off...), but it was cost effective, light, and seems to do the trick for now.

I'm looking for a heavy duty outdoor cover for my PX. I got a Weatherall Plus on the Beema and so far its great.

I would not be travelling with it so size doesn't matter (that's what the girls say ).

Any suggestions from you cold climate guys........

Guessing ya'll are referring to the Nelson Rigg Scooter cover? What size is best for the P?

Also go the Motorsport one. It says its built of black, heavyweight fabric. Does that mean its not that transportable? Little pricey too!

I hate sizing these things. I would like good, tight(er) fit so it doesn't turn into a sail!

Nice, let us know how it works out. I ordered my Nelson Rigg for only 25 bucks or so from one of those scooter parts sites. I think the ones you can find on the Nelson Rigg website come in more durable forms than my "econo model" but I could be wrong. It is ok. It works, especially for the price. But I think some of those other options you have pointed out might be worth the higher cost.

Oh - is the seat leather? Will it get damaged by the rain?

FYI - I received my cover from scooterworks. It is GREAT - the fit is almost perfect - it is snug and covers everything. And there are zip up extenders for a topcase or windshield. And it packs small enough to barely fit in the legshield storage.

I'll post pics later today.

Yeah, I think you'll really like it. It looks pretty durable too, not heavy, but not too thin either.
