So I've got a free original P seat arranged, but it doesn't seem to be moving fast by any means and I'm not entirely sure of the condition. I found a decent condition Stella seat for sale for very cheap and was wondering how they compare. Comfort? Durability? Fit to P frame?

I've sat on both. I like my 30 year old P seat better.
It seemed more comfortable. The guy with the Stella who sat on my P agreed. I do kind of like the look of the Stella seat better, but I wouldn't switch them out. |

The stella / PX millennium seat... i dunno. I rocked one for a really long time. In the end, i really liked the stock Rally 200 seat best of all ... but the stock P200 seat wasn't bad either. If it bothers you, pack some more foam from the craft shop in between the cover and the springs.
I think putting a new stella seat / PX mill. seat on it makes it look newer than it is. |

On the flipside, I hate hate hate hate my rally seat. Perhaps it's just the indignity of having a largeframe - but the seat seems way too springy for me. You hit a bump, and the seat springs shoot you to the moon. Broke shocks, bad engine bushings, etc? Doesn't matter. The rally seat doesn't let you feel anything that the scooter is doing underneath you.

I swapped my Stella seat for a true OG rally seat ( not the shitty repop ), and really loved the increase in *edit* suspension i got out of it. Two different extremes, i suppose. |

My wife gave me her stella seat when she got a Rally seat for her Stella. It replaced a shitty repro corsa on my P200. Replaced it with a clubmate's PX seat, which I found more comfortable.

It needs a seat lock though and I wanted to ask - will a normal P-series lock and seat pillar work right? Or do I need to look for a stella-specific lock and seat pillar? |

I'm fairly certain a regular P series lock and pin will work. I replaced my stock seat with an Ancillotti and was able to swap my stock lock with the one on the new seat. I just had to order a longer seat pin because the stock one was too short. I don't think you'll have a problem.

I'm almost positive you can. I gave my friend my old Stella seat for his P200 and it fit. I haven't seen it in person but I think you'll be ok. Sorry I couldn't be more help. I'm sure if you gave Motorsport or another scooter shop a call they would be able to give you an answer.
