So, I just got my bike back from a paint and body "2 hour tour".

As soon as I go the bike back, I threw in a stebel nautilus.

https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic36338?highlight=

Now I am noticing inconsistencies in my turn signals and high beams and I am unsure if it was the paint and body putting the bike back together wrong OR my wiring of the horn - I highly doubt it is the latter as I did not alter or manipulate the turn signals/high beams at all.

1) the turn signals do not blink at a consistent syncopated rhythm. example; it should be BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK BLINK. Sometimes I get; BLINK BLINK (PAUSE) SHORTER BLINK BLINK (PAUSE) BLINK SHORTER BLINK. This happens on both left and right, its not a consistent problem (but I feel like it could lead to a bigger problem down the line), and I can't duplicate it to try and isolate the problem.

2) My high beams engage sometimes and then sometimes they do not.

My questions:

What would cause the erratic blinking?

What would cause the highbeams to choose when it wants to go on?

Are the two related?

Did I FARCH something up when installing the horn?

Thanks DUDES and DUDETTES!

Sounds like bad connections on both; most likely from disassembly.

The t/s will flash faster when one of the lamps is not working, either because of bulb or connection. You may want to stand back and watch each t/s bulb to determine which is (are) at fault. That may help you narrow it down.

Switches also seem to be an issue. If it's been sitting for awhile in a dusty environment or gotten paint overspray on the switches, that could be your problem, too. Try cycling the switches several times.

The problem is that its not a "faster" or "slower" situation. Its totally erratic, not a consistent pace, and not constant. It will happen 50% of the time. If it was a constant fast blink, then I know its a dead bulb much like in a car. But all my signals work, the high beams work.

I did 200 miles in a couple days (that's a lot of lefts and rights) and it still seems to be an issue, so I am going to rule this one out, but still keep it in the back of the dormitory.

Any other insight from anyone!?

THANKS!
