Hi all,

RE: ET4 125 2004 UK Model

I've had this problem for a few weeks and it is driving me mad. I won't bore you with all the details, just the facts.

Turn indicators only work when at stand still, engine on. As soon as I pull away they stop working.

Had a full service. Repair shop tested the battery, stator & voltage regulator and all are fine.

Bike shop suggested that its a faulty ECU as this apparently supplies the flashing signal to the indicator switch. This would be be a VERY expensive repair!

Very, very occasionaly the indicators will work at normal speed. This is 1% of the time and I may be generous here.

Any clues guys?
Thanks
Darren

Tell us which scooter it is. I'm afraid your tech may be correct about the ecu.

Flasher circuit is run off the cdi. Therefore it will be an expensive problem to fix.

There may be a way of looking at the wiring diagram and replacing the wiring with a flasher relay.

This would need a decent auto electrician. If I thought about it long enough I could probably do something.

It probably means feeding a live feed to your indicator switch and removing feeds from the cdi, but this is just an educated guess. Have you checked all the wiring connectors to the cdi etc..... Amazing what a corroded connector will do.

CDIs rarely go wrong.

Thanks.

Checked everything. Can you recommend correct flasher units?

Cheers
