MV Magnet - Si! Sticker - no thanks. This is a regular call out. When does someone make it go? I'd even put one on my cage...

The magnetic paper isn't that super strong and have either one slide off or someone snagged it off my bike. Anyway, some people have asked what the MV meant and I direct them to this website. |

My MV magnetic label blew off in the wind riding up from Hollister! It was there when I left Corbin, gone when I stopped for gas in SJ.
Fun idea though! Of course I also got myself a stack of the Modern Vespa business cards, and I've been tucking them onto scooters from here to North Carolina! I've also given some to the great folks down at Moto Italiano in San Jose: they're on their second batch and give them out to new scooter owners and other interested parties. Here's link to the artwork to have cards made: The MV US and UK card artwork |

I posted the subject on MY Magnets before. We're on our own making our mag The only stickers I'd put on my bike would be reflective for safety. Other MV'rs may not be so lucky having the magnets due to plastic on their scooters. Sorry about the blurry dog, I think he sniffed some drugs in Golden Gate Park

I like the idea of fashioning an "MV" magnet resembling the P/Piaggio badge but I'm not smart like that.
I do often wonder if a fellow Vespa on the road is an MV'er though and would identify myself as such. |

That was one of my initial thoughts of getting a sign that we can be familar with and supposedly we'd wave or beep at each other to say Hi to fellow Scooterists/MV'rs. Also as a group we'd probably look out for each other's bike. Someone trying to Jimmy an ignition keyhole, The bike would have a distinguishing mark, like and MV magnet, the observer can be on this forum giving out crucial info to the scooterist to help catch the perp. I guess group identity helps us be friendly and being on MV we can bring ideas together. Anyone a psychologist that can chime in?
In Ztevehart's initial post he would have recognized that bike if that person happened to be on the MV forums. Well apparently that other scooterist is not an MV'r since they haven't respond already. Oh by the way, my MV magnet is actually on a rectangular white background with black lettering. I was using the flash taking the picture. |
