Sorry if this is a re-post, but I just read that Cinncy is getting dedicated 2 wheeled parking...
(it's not a ton of spaces and it's only in certain locations, but hey, a start is a start right.... now NYC, can we take a lesson from the good folks of Ohio?)

As a former resident of Cincinnati (Ohio for 24 years) this is probably the most progressive thing the state has EVER done.

Great stuff. I ride downtown just to knock around for a while on a near-weekly basis. My favorite spots are on Walnut (near Fountain Square and lots of restaurants), and 8th & Vine (main branch of the library, and Piatt Park). Only way to make it better is to do more of it...

Actually, the City of Columbus rolled out some motorcycle and scooter parking earlier this year. There are 8 or so spots throughout downtown with plans to add more. Right now they are free but I think they are contemplating rolling out some sort of special permit or something.

I can attest that they came in handy a few weeks ago when I was meeting some friends for lunch at a trendy downtown restaurant where I normally can NEVER find nearby parking for my car.

Wow, and I thought we were progressive getting a street cleaner.

COME ON !!!
NYC needs to get it together on this stuff.
Oh well, guess we will just stick with the velcro/crossed fingers routine on the sidewalk and otherwise...
