Modern Vespa

hi everyone, hope you are all having a great weekend. thanks for all the great info on this site. really glad too, that a 'not-so-modern' forum was created.

i have a 2005 150px and am trying to switch out the clear plastic turn signals w/the amber colored ones. the one's i got from scooter works look exactly the same, but the screw opening is just slightly off. i mean, just a real tiny bit. i can somewhat line it uo to the holes thru the leg shield, but once it bites i have to start forcing it, which i do not want to do.

i called scooter works and they told me these are the correct turn signals for my bike. and, yes, i tried boh turn signals just to make sure it was not a defect. same result for both.

any suggestions?

ps before any of you give me a hard time about amber vs. clear, i have a 1982 p200 in greece and it has amber lights. i just think it looks a little more 'old school.' which in turn makes this middle aged man feel 17 again when i'm on the scoot! trying to mimick that look/feel here in LA.

We got an "inexpensive" batch of turn signal lenses a while back that had this same issue. When you tightened them down all the way, they would crack because of the offset. We stopped selling them, and switched to a different brand. You might try a set from a different retailer.

hey, i will be in san diego next weekend for a wedding at the us grant downtown. i can swing by sat to pick-up some amber lenses, if you have them.
