cool. sounds like we have a posse. we should find out in advance what he likes to eat so we can bring him a takeaway. nobody should be subjected to hospital food.
on an unrelated topic: we are getting very near page 100 of this thread. it is taking a donkei's age to load .... might it be time to gracefully retire this thread and begin a fresh one? |

Phone
Spider has just rung from his Hospital room. The good news is he is going to be operated on Friday and they are going to rebuild his entire pelvis and hip and he will be on crutches by the following Friday.
He will be off work for about a year. He thinks he is in room 211 and can see visitors tomorrow but will let us know when he can see more after the operation. He is in really good spirits after the good news on the operation and he and Tracy would like to thank you all for you good wishes again. On a lighter note the N/S coweling on the Vespa is dented and the crash bar is a bit bent and apart from that it's fine. Bill X You are asking for Simon Brudenell - The man with the 4 way hips. |

Great news Bill.
A year off, huh - he won't want to go back! At least he'll have time to lovingly make the bike perfect again. How's Tracy, any news? |

call
She is badly bruised and they are all coming out now. He tells me there are photos of her injuries and they aren't pleasant.
I'll keep the photo of the damaged car in my phone for anyone that wants to view but the huge dent in the O/S/R door is all of Tracy's doing. Spider went up on the air after hitting the A pillar. He used the words purple and grey alot to liken her bruises. She sounded so much better than the first time we talked on that Sunday morning when we first got the bad news. Tracy has next week off work but and made the trip home this evening. I can't believe that Spider is in such good spirits but I having said that from what I gather there have been many tears of pain and frustration over the past few days. I don't really want to give the details but Tracy and Spider won't struggle on the financial front for a while yet. Lots of DSSC rides out to Canterbury then ? Bill x |

I am glad to hear that your friends are healing. What a horrible accident. They are very lucky to have the support of you guys. It's really nice the financial end will not be worry for them, but I believe the community of friends they have surrounding them must also be a blessing.

I keep thinking of Tracy at home, multi-coloured-bruised and hurting on her own. Possibly more of a brain-strain for her at the moment (worried about Spider as well) than for Spider himself who at least can call for Nursey and is legally spaced-out.
Could the DSSC gurls help here? I'd be out of my depth. |

FOR SALE
I was going to put this in the for sale section but thought it may get more response here...
FOR SALE. A mate of mine is selling a GTS250ie 2 years old (GX07 plate) Only 839 miles from new Black Mint condition no bangs scrapes scuffs or chuffs?? 3 owners inc him He bought it a few weeks ago cos he was scared that he was racking up speeding points on his Bandit MC. He bought it from a mate who owns a local scoot shop, who bought back from a lady who owned it first she wanted something to ride before getting a BMW MC. Its been very very well looked after and hasn't even been run in yet. Its a great bike and he will be adding a few bits to it (seat recover, nothing wrong with the standard seat but he likes black with grey piping and an exhaust upgrade) for no added cost He wants £2500 for it as is or £2500 with new seat cover and pipe upgrade. I've got some photos but it was dark and only had my mobile, if anyone is interested PM me and i'll get some proper photos done. |

Erm I don't have a camera at this end but I could take one with my phone but how I'd get it on here I don't know.
The new helmet has had it's first coat of gloss protectant. Yeah I know to buy the GT the GT will have to go if that makes sense ? Everyone happy with the Daily Donk ? Bill X |

I'm sorry. I have issues. I find it hard to let go. If in six months' time I'm still posting to this thread, dead drunk at three in the morning, pleading with it to take me back, I promise I'll go to Relate.
