Hello folks! It's the season for new steeds all right
I had a nice ride back from the dealer's getting acclimatised to the high perch, then a really lazy day on Sunday when I only left the house to see Howard onto the long road back to Dorset Very happy. Very scared of scratching my BRAND NEW baby. |

Mine has currently developed a scraping noise whenever I turn left... mysterious, can't see anything out of place.
Red 300 not in until Jan 09, but think I will trade up and trade in when it does arrive, if only to keep up with the rest of you. |

Incidentally, icy again today but only at the top corner of my road, which is a really ghastly spot - cars always skid there, and last year I helped a lady on a scooter who tried to turn in and went straight smack over. I go the other way!

just had a lovely ride home on the 'Loper .... wow. it is as smooth as a Cadillac full of butter. by comparison, riding the ET4 feels like going over Niagara falls in a barrel. I see what bill means about needing a bit of time to properly bond with the larger scoot tho - there is a LOT more weight in the bottom and its going to take me a few days to get properly to grips with throwing it around corners. right now i'm riding it in a very ladylike manner.

it took me a little while to get used to my gts after the et4s.
originally i felt as if i was sitting 'in' it rather than 'on' it, and it felt quite big. now it feels exactly right. just be careful when you're parking it. the weight can catch you off guard if you lean it over too much when you're pushing it. |

the ride is quite a bit higher .... i can flat-foot the ET4 easily, but not the GT.
had my first go at the ramp .... it is a bit of a battle to get it up there, and i can see myself growing some fine biceps, but i managed unassisted. something sturdier will be built after christmas, but the existing ramp is holding together for now. one nice thing about the 12" wheels is that i can roll the scooter right out over the kerb and into the street when i bring it down out of the garden, rather than having to turn it around on the pavement and ride it out of somebody's driveway like i did with the ET4. and i see exactly what you mean about the weight kam ... i'm going to need to be extra careful |

Once the bond has been achieved with those GTS you really can throw them about... silky smooth and very forgiving..... enjoy.

woooooo. the Interloper is rather powerful. It does not like my mostly 30mph commute, and on the one or two sections where i can exceed that speed without being a complete arse, I found it had magically accelerated to 60mph with very little help from me. quite mysterious.
I am going to need to carefully cultivate a kind of zen-like state of speed limit observation. my attempts this morning were not as successful as i'd like : 'patience, grasshopper. .... [*ahem*] patience, grasshopper .... f**king PATIENCE, GRASSHOPPER' .... will attempt to drive more daintily on the way home this evening. |
