Dessa sounds so happy awwww !
Will our first meet with our new machines be the run to Le Touquet to which all of you are'nt going to or (take the hint) is someone going to organise a meet in a nice little coffee shop, not that far from the Blackwall Tunnel/East End so we can all stand back and admire our wise choices of scooter ? I feel a strokey beard meeting coming on. C'mon someone pick an eclectic venue and a date. Regards Billy-no-scoot |

Will the younger 'orrible receive the X9 as a reward? I have just sold WM2, so I will resist the temptation to spend the proceeds down the pub. |

But scooter these fellow Donkei Skoks are really important to me.
I enjoy every second of thier company because they are warm, open and always friendly so yes I think a sulk is deserved. Well done on selling the WM2 Wonder. Any collection date for the 300 ? Huskyteer be patient. All things and all that. Lets face it the weather is pretty shitty out there. Got the hump now Billy-no-scoot |

Regards Billy-no-scoot I rang CBS Whitton in Twickenham (one of jim's recommendations) today and they were very helpful about prices. In fact, pretty much every dealer except my current one has been better... perhaps its time for a dear John letter! |

Wonder this is money we are talking about .Go to where the deal is.
I wouldn't think twice if a dealer that was suggested by a friend who could do me a discount. It might make your dealer think twice about not giving a discount next time. This is your hard earned money we are talking about. Watch this space huh ? I return from the States on the 29th of Jan but please don't work it around my absence. If I can't make it I can't make it. Arse. Regards Billy-no-scoot |

I sold WM2 to a new scooter rider who had just passed her CBT, and will deliver the scoot to her flat tomorrow evening (so new no helmet no nothing!). She said the WM2 was "cute"! |

First of all, today is Alex's birthday everyone!
I got him a Thermoscud but received the wrong one he was pleased with the gift anyways Second of all, and all, I think the meet up on the weekend of the 25th is a great idea! How is the 24th Saturday instead for everyone? Should we make it the Spanniards Inn? |

I was going through the usual turning it off and on again routine when a bloke who'd been mixing cement at a nearby building site came along to patronise me in that very special way certain men reserve for women in charge of a vehicle (ladies, you know what I'm talkin' 'bout). After we'd gone through whether or not there was any petrol in it, he asked where my kickstart was. "Here, but it's never worked," I replied, pumping away. "You're not doing it right. Don't kick it - get it to where the piston starts to compress, like this." He trod on the kickstart. The engine roared into life. What do you bet I never, ever manage to start it like that myself? |

Plan is we've got my folks staying on the 24th/25th, so I can't make it either. They're coming from the US, so it would be a bit rude of me to blow them out.

I'm going to practise it from now on! But how can you tell where the piston is?? (OK, OK, I'll look for the video!)
I like your sig quote. I saw an episode of Happy Days recently in which Richie buys a motorbike and shows it to Fonzie, saying "Pretty nice, huh?" The Fonz turns around and says "Bikes are not 'nice'. Bikes are 'cool'." Words to live by! |

It can work, I did kick my LX successful, but it is not a kick, more of a tap.
Only did it twice when the battery went... |

If you press fairly gently on the pedal rather than stamping on it, you will feel the right place, Alice. You'll just know! |

alice I was shown at rex judd once how to do it
you sort of stand with your side to the side of the bike kind of with your right hand over your top box then with your right foot you wank it down i.e. forward so not standing in front of the bike and side kicking it, kicking it forward that works for me there's an urban legend that kickstarting is better than using the automatic as it spares your battery and keeps it (kickstart) working for a rainy day how about the 31st jan (sat) or 1st feb sunday? (yes, so it begins!) |
