Are you sure that's what you meant to say? How RUDE! Laughing emoticon Where are your pics? Have you got it yet?

I thought the first date of the 25th had gained general acceptance?
no pics yet as I want to take it in the splendour of daylight and that's hard to find these days... I don't want the weather to spoil the glow of my Velma when she's presented to your society

the 25th appears to not be ok with some people, people, say it otherwise as I'm now confused.com

Too many. I just love swapping things and trying different scooters out. The MP3 was just a mistake for London traffic.

The GTS300 has fantastic acceleration. I am almost tempted to try an SH300i even though it looks like shit.

I have no kids to eat up income and my mortgage payments have more than halved over the last six months. Thank dog I am a public service employee....

Looks too angular and too plastic. There looks to be bugger all storage space as well.

I know it has vomit inducing looks. BUT every single review and opinion has heaped praises upon it, maybe a step too far....

The GTS 300 does rock though. It looks pretty and is relatively rapid.

But, but, having ridden both, the Honda engine makes you feel weak at the knees. It is really really really good. Okay, it mings, but it is a very good ride indeed.

What we need is someone to whip out the engine and stuff it into the GTS... perfect!

I think that there may be a problem soon as the 300 piaggio engine puts out only a reported 1bhp more than the 250. As piaggio seem to use one engine for all ranges (fair enough) their 300s are not going to sell as well.

The piaggio "300" is around 270cc (please correct me if i'm wrong) and it seems like a half hearted effort.

As you say WM if honda can sort out their styling and add that to the 300 engine they have surley they will massively out sell piaggio ?

You are wrong to a degree. The new 300 engine is all about torque and not bhp. It does feel noticably different from the 250.

Sh 300 - I recomend Scarabeo 250
Hello guys,

I can see that is a discussion going on regarding the relation between performance x design, what is best Vespa 300 or SH300...Well I have to say that I have had the pleasure of riding a 2008 Scarabeo 400. I even if I am a bit suspect to say, in my opinion this is the best choice to go for.

In terms of price, performance, Design(Neo /Vintage Italian design)

On top of that, there is not a lot on the street what gives you a sense o exclusivity

Have a look on the reviews and on the official website!!!

The SH300 just looks too dainty and I wouldn't ride one if you told my friends I'd just bought some soft furnishings. Awful.

Don't worry! I wouldn't buy it. It just isn't comfortable enough for me, it doesn't significantly outperform the GTS to make it a viable proposition.

I did take on out for a ride though and have posted a comparison here:

Wow! I didn't know there was a 750 TMax in the offing. Do you know anything about it (when? how much? pics?)?

Seriously though, it would be a bit of a waste for me to have such a big engine size. Although we do go on long touring hols, it's not all that often that I wish I had anything bigger than my 250. And even though I'd estimate we spend 3 or 4 weeks on holiday with the scoots each year (plus various weekends, runs to the coast, runs to the West Country, etc), for the rest of the year I have a 5 mile each way commute to work, and anything much bigger than my current scoot would be overkill in my mind.

And, no, I don't want to have two bikes at the same time.
