Wow, this is becoming a real saga.

The LX is lovely in that red. It shows off its svelte lines to perfection.

All it does for the GTS is make its arse look even fatter, so Kate has made the right decision in going for the black.

I had some retail therapy today and bought myself a topbox. Six months without and lugging everything around with me was just too much. I have gone the Kam and Genie route and have bought a GIVI E340. It actually goes OK on the white GTS as the seat is black.

Givi also make a mounting plate especially for the GTS 300....

my e370 easily holds my full face arai lid and my dainese boots.

i fitted the stoplight kit to the case last sunday but haven't got round to fitting the wiring to the bike's wires yet because i'm not sure how to do it. i may come to you for advice soon.

80% of the time i ride without the top case but when i use it i really appreciate it.

how come it say there is a page 28 to this thread but everyway i try to access "p28" i get a message saying "no topics exist"

That's a five minute car park job as long as you have adequate length of wire from the contacts on the baseplate to run in through the back of the seat and down to the tail light.

Please buy a top box pad. They only cost about £20 and finish it all off nicely.

Oh yes I get the phantom page from time to time, like a ghost in the machine....

Not a big fan of top boxes. They act as a massive air brake and slow you down at speed if that's good English.

mmmmmm i tend to disagree................

i used to have a topbox on my GTs and to be honest i think It went FASTER

i put it down to the fact it acted like the seat hump on a suzuki hayabussa and smoothed the air flow out "round the back"

it was even better when i filled the gap between me and the topbox with more luggage 8)

don't forget when fitting a topbox to fit heavier bar ends at the same time to prevent wobble.

We have hit 28 pages which must be a record on here. The software can't cope. Maybe it is time to let Jess know so that he can work some magic.

top boxes are great if you use the scoot for work or going away for a weekend ..
but not my thing .. just dont look right on my 300

..............which is why i no longer have mine fitted (or the rack)

i only keep it (with the rack) in the garage loft in case my wife wants to go pillion and that's happened ONCE

i'll tell you why you're all getting the weird page thing - when things go pear-shaped in a thread the moderators have the option of hiding posts (as opposed to deleting them or sending them to the graveyard) ... the thread stays intact and can be restored, and although users can't see the hidden posts, they still count towards the total number in the thread.

Genie...... so you think someone is posting stuff the mods deem unsuitable and then remove or "ghost" so althought the page count says "28" really it's like "28 minus 6 posts" and it'll not show p28 until the 6 (ghost)posts mark has been passed........

yes, that's right. if an otherwise interesting thread kicks off we can hide the offending posts - saves the trouble of removing them and allows the thread to carry on.

Yes there was a little local difficulty, but we've all bought each other drinks and got over it.

Still think they look fantastic. My first Vespa was an LX50 2T in black. Looked fantastic with its tan seat and topbox pad.

There are plenty of so-much-per-cent-off offers around. But I couldn't give a shit, it's a complete waste of time and money for me. I might go to the Ally Pally show, as that's a good craic.

On Saturday night I struggled home from central London in howling wind on the GP800 with new exciting non-punctured rear tyre, to find my ET4 had BLOWN OVER.

It's happened before, but this time my pimptastic 'chrome' mirror had snapped in two

I haven't tried it to see if it'll start yet; on the train today as I'm going boozing later.

The new machines are looking super shiny! I especially like red scooter next to red phone box.

that happened to a mate at work he bought a brand new dragon red 50 s .. parked outside his house .. next morning because of the wind was dented and battered .. he was gutted

Last year I was away for the weekend and arrived home to find that the ET4 had blown over and my flatmate had not only picked it up but moved his car closer to it so if it went again his boot would break its fall. What a star!

It is a pisser to come and find the scooter has tipped/been tipped. Is the body of it okay? Your ET has been in the wars recently.

It would be nice if he cleaned the bathroom occasionally, but he is certainly a chivalrous gentleman!

The tarpaulin seems to have protected the paintwork, though the broken mirror has ripped a nice hole in the fabric.

I just hope it starts tomorrow!

poor ET4. i hope it's feeling better soon - i hate that 'will it start this morning' anxiety it's warmer than it was a week or two ago, so fingers crossed ...

i have to confess that i never really liked those mirrors tho ...
