Alice I'm so sorry to hear the ET4 has suffered weather damage, really breaks my heart.
and it's like horror stories too I'm lucky the bikes are tight but nicely slotted into the front garden, they don't tip. but I'm so mindful or scratching the mirrors to the wall, which I did everyday with Shirley as they were plastic and I had two other pairs if I were really bothered... but your special chrome ones! how is the body work? I wish her well. my street is very hilly (and Simon, North London is the best thing since sliced bread, shush you! ) and there's a bay right at the bottom! once my friend who owns a LX50 black had been over and parked down there. next to her there was a battered ET and a LOVELY new black GT that we loved. as she left my place she got down there to find both ET and GT tipped... the GT nearer the ground and the 5 minutes earlier intact bodywork was dented and scratched my friend's LX survived and was still standing, but the GT mirrors were landed on her floorboards.. it was very sad. We got them up, gave them a warm drink and positioned them as well as possible. i guess that's where the side stand would come in handy, my LX has a side stand! I noticed the other day! so in a case like this bay..... the side stand is on the left hand side... the hill goes down to the right of the bike... would I then be better off with the side stand to the left? does that make sense? Bill we will miss you very much and you may just miss our laydee rideout and the boys all wearing laydees outfits. Velma will certainly ask for you, the Hornet! Just fitted Alex's birthday Thermoscud and he's so pleased. Georgey looks very cosy. He might get a handlebar muff (like genie's bear claw) for valentine's if he behaves (Georgey that is) |

Have you guys ever thought about getting your own website? Having to see these two threads constantly bouncing up to the top of the page is annoying. I think the name is offensive no matter how you spell it, and I really don't like having the words etched into my psyche day after day. I realise you think it's funny, so why not get your own website and have at it?

Its a bit like one of those scenes in a film where a bloke goes into a pub and then the whole place goes quiet... then he leaves.

Oh that's a two day Vespa weekend then. Are you joining the laydeez inaugural....?
And then Spaniards on Sunday. Yes I do think I will go to both. Pray for zero rain. I got completely drenched this morning. I was relatively damp until some oaf drove through a foot deep puddle on the opposite side of the road from me. I was then soaked by a six foot tidal wave. All at 50 mph. Not pleasant. But quite amusing in retrospect. |

I think I get your drift. You may well be right, apparently I don't fit in. No worries, easily remedied. |

wa-hell .... have you lot been at the drinks cabinet while i've been out?? i've spent a deeply dignified evening at the pub whilst 'those who drink at home' have been entertaining an international audience with their antics.

If Sunday is Spaniards then the Interloper rescue mission might be off...
I thought too many cried off for the 25th Spaniards to take place? Alternatively I could break a record and pick up genie *really early*, do business with Spider in Canterbury (who would then have to provide breakfast) and be back for the Spaniards without a ruffled hair on our heads 230 miles later... This is a slightly awkward 3-way 'can we actually do it' between Genie, me, and Spider, who is the real star in this saga. |

Thank you for your comments Len Smith. I don't agree with you about the name or the suggestion. I find it funny on a very childish level and lets face it these days we need something to laugh at.

i think i may need you all to be here when spider arrives. if the matter of payment is dealt with in a similar spirit to the rest of the job thus far, i'm going to have a real battle on my hands getting him to take any actual money.
