I love the helmet detailing. Now I wish I had bought a few rolls of that for my GTS. Some for either side beneath the cowls and an off centre stripe down the front. 8)

after a 50 mile country ride just for the fun of it, i spent most of the day working on my allotment.
tried to carry 150 lts of organic manure home from the garden centre in one go. no way! the handlebars started waggling from side to side like a mad thing. nearly had me off. sheepishly, i u-turned and left one bag in the car park and proceeded with caution with the other two. returned half an hour later for the other one. i've still got a long way to go but i should be ready to start planting in a week or so overloaded scooter - tank-slapper extraordinaire.
allotment so far. lots of work still to do.
this is what my allotment looked like two months ago when i first got it.

so cute!
I always wondered about those. once I was on a train to Liverpool or something with my mum and she saw a row of allotments with little sheds by the train rail and asked me if they were the British "favelas" i.e. they live in that shack and have a garden heheeheh I said no, mum... but truth was, I didn't know then what they were either! |

oh and today I had to go comp shopping in oxford st so I parked Velma in Portman Square
jolly I went, texting City of Westminster and smug I directed myself to M&S with my confirmation text at hand come back 1 and a half hours later, no ticket, normal so I rode it two blocks down behind John Lewis at Cavendish Square to finish off so I wouldn't have to walk back to Portman to go back to the office. I spy on Debenhams and John Lewis come back to find a ticket on my windscreen! I see the loser of the parking attendant going past but couldn't be bothered as they are as helpful as amebas, so I rode off to work then I checked my text again and it was Shirley's plate!!!!!!!! so I called up and they changed my registration on my phone number, but I'll have to appeal to the bloody ticket now. like I have nothing better to do in my spare time! here we go for another 9 months of correspondence back and forth! |

I'm hoping to grow tomatoes, potatoes, rocket, asparagus, carrots, beans of different types an brocolli. I'll soon be at the sitting on deckchair, listening to radio 4, drinking beer , Reading gardening books stage |

The chap on the other end said he'd see what he could do. Came back after a minute, now only GBP333 with Equity Red Star, with helmet/leathers and personal accident included, as well as the usual legal insurance and recovery/breakdown EU-wide. Not bad for a Fuoco/GP800, ungaraged, no extra security! |

Ah, scooter trashing not withstanding, it is really good to be back home after three weeks away in the North. Sun shining, temperature pleasant, and no work for five days.... even Hammersmith looks pretty.
Oh yeah! |
