Changing the subject, I have just experienced the anti-lock brakes working on my Honda today.

Some woman just stepped off the pavement without even looking in the direction of the traffic flow dragging her four year old behind her. I applied full braking and horn, but had applied the back a little too firmly and I suddenly felt the left lever throbbing away in my hand.

I had heard that Honda's system was good. Certainly lives up to its promise.

Anyhoo, on the way home today from Boxhill saw two broken Lambrettas.

They came with a canoodling couple. Still a bit nippy for that sort of thing at this time of year, but they did have their parkas on.

Other bollocks - there were gazillions of VWs going into Sandown Park this morning, and only a few fewer coming out this afternoon - plus I met a couple of Darkside mates (all parka'd/patched up) at Ryka's (Box Hill) after an eventful USR training day. The making of USRs into 'Capitaines de Routes' equivalents may have made a significant step forward. Way-Hey!!!

well nothing to say apart from i'm getting really frustrated with not having my scooter working at the moment but really excited about sending the engine up the Harry Barlow / Pro tuning for a rebuild and mild tuning job.

I got the flu from running about in the cold at Box Hill yesterday, so in bed with toast and tea today.

i had a recreational cigarette or two the other night so am feeling a bit muzzy today; left the 'Loper at home and used public transport instead [*shudder*]

i've just given an hour's talk completely on auto-pilot. it was bizarre. words were coming out of my mouth and they were making sense but i was thinking about something completely different the whole time i've never done that before and don't know whether i should be excited at my new multi-tasking capabilities or worried about partitions forming in my brain.

Well i've decided that due to lack of funds and the fact that i'm giving up my current job to become a student again!!! spending a grand on a motorcicle may not be the wisest of moves at the moment (and i'll get shouted at by the wif ) the rebuild and tune for the beast is setting me back 400 bucks... so i'll have to wait to get the bike

I really did try to like smoking weed but the initial on rush made me paranoid and then I fell asleep. A bit pointless.

I tried to like drink but even in small amounts I became short tempered and aggressive then it would last into the next day. Pointless.

The white stuff made me talk rubbish and made my penis shrink then I lost two of my friends whose hearts gave up in thier mid 40's because they had done too much in thier youth. Very pointless.

And I'm not going to risk buying stuff from someone I've never met or don't trust either just to get me off my tits.

I'm also a bit of a control freak but not when it comes to others, just myself.

And there's nothing more boring watching someone else get off thier face when you are stone cold sober.

Velma continues to be a smooth ride and I'm still in love with her madly, gliding through the roads, overtaking slow cars up the hill and just being in general a smooth ride overall.

as for a more open to the public club, why not have a "Modern Vespa 'Nottingham'" club, then a "Modern Vespa 'San Diego'" club and so forth, I mean of course you can name your chapters rude things or not
