williamvillage wrote: Yeah alright it doesn't belong here but shall we organise a big Donkei Skok meeting in the next couple of months ? You know a really big one that everyone can make like kinda big type stuff ? All the regular Koks and all the people who just wanna turn up and say hello just as long as they are good looking ? Somewhere like a big pub, possibly the Pilot or somewhere Italian in the smoke or close by it ? I kind of leaning towards the Italian idea so we can line all the scoots up out front ? I'm going to suggest the 6/7th of June. Who isn't washing their hair that day ? If this idea takes off I'll transfer it ( or it will be done for me ) to the rally section. Regards Billy-no-scoot PS Not a ride out just a meeting of good looking people. That's you Doug. If no surprise happens again, I will be in this one...Unfortunately I could not make it on Saturday at the Pilot as on my way to the PUB, apparently my engine belt disintegrated . This morning I could take it to the workshop and hopefully nothing serious has happened with my dude George. I was really looking forward the meeting specially in a so lovely whether like was on Saturday, having a long ride is always a pleasure. The good side of it is that thankfully the failure was nearby home and not in the middle of the Blackwall Tunnel. Cheers. Does anyone know the average time life of a scooter belt? |

Cunning plan is to copy the format and routes that I did at the weekend in Wales. Leave early on a Friday and stay two nights at the Biker's Retreat: http://www.bikers-retreat.com/ Then do this route on the Saturday: A glorious mix of A, B and unclassifieds with absolutely stunning views. happy birthday charles!!!
i've been delighted with iweb and bit the bullet and went for the mobile me trial, im so impressed. i heart my mac (this is me typing from alex's pc laptop ehhehe) i'm working on the wedding website for the foreign guests and also my tarot blog, where genie and bill are lovingly quoted on their generous feedback i'm now waiting for our domain to come through to share it with the world, very excited!!! this morning i gave alex a lift on velma (though he was pilot) and riding down west end lane as I looked at our reflection from the shops windows I admired both how massive we both look on it (we look tiny or normal on george two-up), and also how we are definitely leaving the wedding reception riding velma two up wearing our matching (so cheesy, I know, tell me off!) Momo white helmets! hehehehe I'm thinking that'll be my no-gear-at-this-time-and-open-face-helmet moment of the year, but come on, won't it be cute and won't it make some sweet little thread to make salima & hubby jealous! 8) |

You and me both Genie. Don't worry I know a nice little un-named town in France that needs a visit from the 200 and below Club later in the year.

Dess, Mobile.me is to expensive.
Why not using your own domainname.... cheap. We hosting by one.com, a lot of space for 1.25 eur a month you have 3000 mb space, unlimited emailadresses etc .... And you can place more than one webspace online there. https://www.one.com/en/ |

Totally OT, but I'm doing a gentle ride on the 1st July, originally just for the X9 club (very few still have X9s) but now open very definitely to all the DSSC:
------------ Just giving notice there will be an evening Surrey lanes ride-out on Wednesday 1st July. Details to follow, but those who can make Ryka's (Box Hill) by 18:30-19:00 are the target 'audience'. I am anticipating the finish will be a pub in Epsom after 60-80 miles and well before closing time, so not a huge trek. This ride-out will be 'progressive', but as we'll be using the corner-man system those who prefer to be more relaxed will not feel pressured. One-size-fits-all... All types of PTWs welcome, newbies to group rides welcome, a quiet word has been slipped to those who control the weather. Book the date in your diaries! ------------------- http://www.x9ownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=16909.msg203755#msg203755 |

Unlimited. They have also the stuff to publish a blog, a photosite etc.... When you have webspace, then you chance in iWeb to upload to ftp server. And you can load up the site. Easy..... Mobile cost you 58 a year, ok you have 20 Gb space, just one mobile elmailadress, and you need to forward your domain to mobile space. With an other provider you don't. |

Highly recommend Jim's Surrey Lanes route, folks, having enjoyed one of these rides previouly. Nothing says "it's summer!" like being able to go for a ride after work because it's still light and warm enough. Yum.
My longest day's riding on a 125: 410 miles, mostly French motorway. Not a lot of fun but possible! Of course, that mythical GT200-for-under-a-grand may have fallen into my lap by the time the Wales trip comes round... |

So today I had a nice little envelope in the post and look what it is...!!!
If it isn't a nice pair of Donkie Skok Scooter Club stickers, with the bonus of a sweet little Gent Vespa Club set too!!! It came in good timing too, George is back home good as new and all perky! He sports his DSSC sticker proudly on his pannier, whilst Velma sports hers at the bottom part of her top box, so everyone can see it (as I'm always in front of all traffic, never behind! 8) ) THANKS MARC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marc I'll check it out, my only fear is that it won't be as straight forward to publish updates with a click of a button as it is at the moment! (sorry Im not very knowledgeable on this stuff) and some features on iWeb it says only works if you are using mobile me? like people adding comments on the blog or photos? by the way, here's my tarot website out in the wild... note quotes from our dear DSSCs genie and "williamvillage" as I liked to call him, my very own clients who gave feedback in writing somewhere public. I feel like those bands or films that can quote "BRILLIANT!!!" Time Out Jess let me quote MV, so I went for it oh yeah, here's the link: www.afavorito.com/tarot |
