An LV sounds very tempting. I have however promised to not buy another scooter related product. (for the moment )

I am trying to convince myself I am happy with the GTS just the way it is. Which I am. But I am also thinking about a new seat, and a top case, and an LV pipe.

well the topcase comes under the heading of 'essential equipment' - personally i wouldn't bother with the vespa one, i'd go with a givi. they have nicer lines and can be removed in about 5 seconds if needed.

I had a vespa one on the LX, thought it was over priced. I wanted to avoid the having a topcase this time, but I could really do with the extra storage. At the moment I am riding into work in jeans, my lunch and gear is in my bag in the pet carrier and my laptop is in a bag on my back. Which leaves me no room for when I go back to wearing suits for work and need storage for a jacket. I will see how it goes, maybe I can avoid wearing suits for work permantly.

I like the Vespa ones, I think they definitely match the scooter better! but can see the worth in the Givi... matter of preference, much like the other subject we were on earlier Razz emoticon

As a pantheist, omnivorous, bourbon-swilling, live-and-let-live-and-shut-up-already pervert who just *happens* to also reside in California USA (and didn't vote for our current governor, tyvfm), I'm electing in this particular instance to keep my fool mouth shut.

Oh hell...who am I kidding? GIRTH. Girth girth girth. Unless you're the 50 ft. woman, length doesn't matter much at all. Girth FTW! (girthy heads are nice too, though. Built-in bloops. POP!)

Sorry I havn't been very vocal here recently but with all that chat about penis size recently I frankly blushed so much I had to go away and compose myself because you all know I'm very shy.

Well Nik has come up trumps with my Italian Airforce logos and they will be applied over the cowling scratch on Saturday.
I may have a couple left over as he made about 8 of them so if anyone wants one or two ? Let me get them on then you can try before you buy.
Well not buy but you know what I mean.
I'm still trying to figure out if it's worth getting the cowel painted at the end of the year prior to selling the Hornet.
I know that all of this will change but for now the plan is to sell the Hornet in November and the VW Fox and to purchase a 300 in dragon red or white with the proceeds and then lease an Audi A3 for a year through the company and hand it back at the end.

If anyone is interested in the Hornet let me know. I'll transfer the screen and the mat to the 300.
It's still only done about 2500 miles so I doubt it will go over 6k by the end of the year.

Lets hope that the weather stays good for Saturday afternoon because I fancy a nice ride out.

Does anyone fancy the meet at somewhere Italian on the 6/7th of June or even another meet at the Pilot soon ?
I do really like that pub and it's not too far for most of us.

Mark I'm so sorry to hear about your recent unscheduled modification to your ankle. Get well soon mate.
Lets hope we get a chance to meet you very soon.

Ride safe all.

Ooh sir me sir please sir!

I'm thinking about changing my bike towards the end of the year (sooner if a sooper deal should turn up) so I might possibly take an interest in the Hornet, though green isn't really my colour.

I'm such a fashion victim, BTW, that I've just bought a pair of Crocs because I was so impressed by their usefulness at the Bikers Loft (Guess what colour they are?)

Red polishies up really well where as white just reflects light and doesn't have any depth unlike navy blue and black.
Alice you have first dibs on the Hornet as and when it becomes available.

and now back to the shoe discussion:

household footwear = LL Bean sheepskin slippers in the winter, muji flip flops in the summer. i have a pair of rubber garden clogs i got for £3 at Lidl - those are for wearing in the garden year-round (unless it's pissing down and then the Hunter classics go on).

now, i could go on to discuss the rest of my shoe wardrobe .... for instance, today i'm giving a paper to the august membership of the Royal Photographic Society so i will be sporting green pixie boots purchased in amsterdam.

At last, a part of the conversation I can join in about!

I love the idea of "Skoks with Crocs!" Perhaps a special not club within a not club.

I enjoy the added beauty of Crocs With Socks (try it guys, it adds a new dimension to their comfort) so there could even be another sub sub club sub club called "Skoks with Crocs with Socks". Kate, can you get on with the stickers please?

Oh, another idea, as I also love Birkenstocks, there could be (come on, you know whats coming next)...

"Skoks with Crocs with Socks and Birkenstocks" - so, as the first official member, who wants to join the SWCWSAB?

Charles

PS: I have NOT been drinking, this is a genuine post.

Yeah, yeah, Miss ditch-all-the-ET4s-and-leave-me-all-on-my-own...

Jim wins the 'what colour are Huskyteer's Crocs?' quiz. Shop around on the internet and you can find them a fair whack cheaper than the ludicrous £30 RRP - Amazon has various colours for £20 atm.

I can do crox-with-sox, but alas my sandals are plain old Clarks so I can't join Charles's gang Crying or Very sad emoticon

Nah! genie never fear i'm still here, or am I not here in the club that is not a club. If I dont attend the majority of Skok meets that are not meets does that mean I am more of a non member of the club that is not a club?

As for footwear i'm a 95% desert boot man, I now have 3 pairs, one pair that i'm wearing at the moment which are the standard Ikon sand colour with oily bits and dirt and shit all over them. When they give up the ghost i've got an identical pair sitting in a box in the cupboard brand new to take up the baton. I've also got a dark brown Wranglers pair for special occasions. I get them from Brantano!!! cos every now and again they have a pair for sale on sale at about £20 so I buy them and store them away, they normally retail for about £60 in the shops

But when its really warm i don a pair of Clarks Active Air sandals or my Element trainers.

So there you go

BTW i dont spend the majority of my time sitting outside Brantano in the rain waiting for the only pair of size 11 desert boots to go on sale, just in case you were wondering

That used to be obligatory "camping dinner" before they made them illegal a few years back. I guess I was having one of those "flashback moments".

There is however one rule in the SWCWSAB - your Crocs need to be the real thing (sorry Alice and Genie). As the man Maver says - real or no deal.

Applause to CBS Whitton!

Having serviced the X9 125 ready to hand it on to elder 'orrible as a more convenient commuter vehicle than his Range Rover Sports Supercharged gangsta-wagon, I went to get it taxed online this afternoon. Argh! The MOT ran out yesterday! A quick phone-call to CBS, and they squeezed me into their fully booked-up schedule within the hour.

Sorted.
