oh, well if there is a Miss Selfridge there, then i'm good to go. One can never have enough cheap trendy outfits that change shape and size the first time they're washed. oh sorry that's Primark.

Rideout will involve some domestic negotiations.

There is one benefit about being single and living alone that's that you don't have to tell anyone where you are going or when you'll be back.
Alright I'd rather have a relationship but it is a plus point.

FREEDOM 8)

relationships are ok, if they're ok, give and take and all that, i like the freshness and excitement of a new relationship, the "honeymoon period" if you like, when it gets to the "where the fuck do you think you're going" period then the relationship ends Laughing emoticon

So much for today's grandiose riding plans - I have only recently got up after epic stag do followed by epic nightbus fail. Got home precisely twelve hours ago and today has been a writeoff. How was lunch?

lunch was fab - a very good turnout, and several new and semi-new faces. amongst the regulars were jimc, doug, bill, wonder, and genie. turning up for the first time were 558 and mr. wonder machine alex (mr. genie) came along as well, and liked bill's new helmet so much that he went straight out after lunch and bought one just like it. here they are modeling them in portland place:

Thanks for the sticker Wonder, though I feel I should be making some form of contribution to it...

The Hornet is very clean but it's started to vibrate under throttle load on the way back from London.
The whole chassis vibrates soon after the clutch expands and doesn't go away until the end of the travel.
It also does it when backing off the throttle.
Anyone offer any advice ?

Passing on a request from one of our Greek party, who is looking for a space to crash while in London. Has anyone got a spare room for the weekend of a 16th?

if you've fittes a new wheel it could be the wheel nuts have loosened off a gnats.......

rear wheel same but also check the swing arm exhaust / hanger thingy bolts and the axle bolt with the split pin in........

did you put the spacer back in the right place when refitting the swing arm thingy?

have you lost a balance weight off a wheel???

I doubt it is an internal transmission problem (though it might be). I'd really, really suspect wheels. tyres etc. Things can change, check'em.

just finished a huge amount of work in record time though.
now tomorrow to the printers, get all undies together and be ready to rock
my hands barely respond to typing anymore, so I'm going to bed.

poor Velma just stayed in, tucked in her corner, didn't get to go anywhere this weekend.
I should have put her sleeping clothes on.

take care everyone and have a great week

I hear that. My poor Juicy's been parked in the garage all week as well while I've been trying to get rid of this boulder of a kidney stone (4x9mm). Luckily, it passed without too much fanfare so I'm about to take my lovely scoot out to go get some hi-lift peroxide to burn my poor scalp with. I'm having delusions of Annie Lennox circa 1985. Juicy doesn't care. She just wants her blood to quit pooling.

In other news, yesterday I bought a dress made entirely of latex. (take that, Beth-post hater! Razz emoticon )

Well bless your heart. Oh, and about the latex dress..... Sweet dreams are made of this... I couldn't resist. Been out drinkin and riding with a herd of scooters (AlexBV200 was along too), then we headed to Dunn Bros coffee shop, then home, I grabbed the truck and came over to my sweet little yoga teacher's house (I'm pet sitting for a few days while they're in Laguna Beach). Her little animals love me. Anyway, hope you're better soon Elizabeth!

thought for the day
I can see the way you guys are thinking but when the wheels went back in I gunned nuts back in with a cordless a well as the exhaust mountings.
Plus the spacers in the rear wheel were all laid out in order so they'd go back in the right way. Also I tightened up the rear wheel nut with a extension bar and put a new split pin in. Everything was tight.
I know it's not the tyres because I've experienced tyre vibration and it's nothing like this. That feels like "patter" on the wheel like it's bouncing off the road due to the unbalance and it would only happen above a certain speed.
This is a vibration that starts when the clutch and belt are under load about a third of the way through the torque curve and it transmits itself up through the scoot.
You know when you can feel the belt flexing when you wind on the throttle ? Well that's when it happens. If you throttle off then load it again it will come back but at a constant speed it's fine.
As I said earlier there isn't any play in the rear wheel/shock/mounts.
I'm even thinking that now the engine has passed it's 3000 miles run in period it's loosened a bit making it vibrate a little more or maybe when I rebuilt the back end it went back in place ever so slightly differently.
I'm really clutching at straws on those two ideas.
Would a 3000 mile belt and weights really cause a vibration if worn ?
There isn't any noise but bugger me the bars and foot plate vibrate.
Arse.

Bruised Willies is a different sort of thing altogether from Magnum. Moonlighting-era Bruised was a bit like Magnum, but even that was a bit of a leap of imagination.

One of my schoolfriends called her cat Thomas, as a tribute to Magnum, who she had a massive crush on at the time.
