Butt Busting ? Yeah I could add something really obvious to that but for once I'm going to keep my gutter mouth shut.
Wouldn't mind some of that stuff regardless. Love and Rockets Bill X |

doug's back!!
we've done a rather poor job of maintaining this thread whilst you've been gone - the only excitement recently has been when a drunken badger wandered in and we had to shoo it out with a broom. i'm almost finished stripping the paint off my transmission cover. i had to buy a set of little tiny wire brushes for my dremel to get at the nooks and crannies fun |

maver are you sure you weren't an interior designer in another life?
i'd love to be able to afford a trip to the media blaster and the powder coater but my paint job is going to be a bit more lo-fi - strip the cover, prime and rattlecan it. i did my ET4 transmission cover two years ago and it's holding up beautifully |

Oh Maver those wheels are stunning and I am very jealous indeed.
Oranges are the only fruit it seems. I'm eyeing up the Hornets wheels now. Doug when you get time could you expand on the Fiat servicing problems please ? My decision has already been made but a little bit of info in my business goes a long way. Good to see you back Doug. I've missed you in ways you'll never know. Love and Rockets Bill X |

Seriously though if the Chutney Ferret won't go in the garage it can go behind the house in my little garden where it will be covered and locked up.
I could ride it up to you at the weekends then walk around shopping malls on my own while you go out and have some fun while I dwell on just how lonely I am. Bill X |

thank you for the kind comments on the wheels and tranny case powdercoating, it is a big relief to see that orange and vintage red actually do go together, there were many folks who openly laughed at my suggestions when the scheme was in the planning stage, so glad i stuck with it 8)
genie, satin black or matt black powdercoat would be awesome, much more resilient to chips and scrapes than any paint, price would be cheaper than my rims were too, my "chromax and KTM orange" rims were £45 each blasted and coated........ |

Oh Maver what have you started. I think if I had to I would have the rims so polished that I could see my face in them but not much else.
I kinda like the way the Hornet looks as it is. Well apart from the twat who rides it. Bill X |

genie, the powdercoater should give them a blast before coating to get rid of stuff you can't see like greasy fingerprints, part of the job really, better preparation means better end result 8)
clip and bearing needs to come out of vari cover prior to blasting and tell powdercoater bearing seat and mating face require masking 8) bill, polished metal is sooooo high maintenance, had it on my runner nutter basted and vowed never again, hence the powder finish which just requires a wipe over to get it looking top notch again 8) agian a bit of masking required on the rims, just the mating surface where the rim mounts on the shaft |

Faulk Truck and Tool
So today at my local Audi Dealership a driver came to collect £35,000 of BMW M3 and he made the mistake of leaving the keys in the car then shutting the door on it while I went looking for the paperwork and it self locked itself. Good English huh ?
So there was he with all his gear inside and no way of getting in. He rang his boss to tell him what had happened and he sacked him on the phone for being such an idiot. We tried hard not to laugh but failed. I just had to share. Bill X |
