I had posted this thread by error in the Rallies and Events Forum yesterday so I just plugged it where it really belongs, on the MP3 slot.
Apparently the photos didn't come through so I'll post them later.
Attended my first Rally today and boy did I start on the wrong foot. I couldn't find my 12v plug for my GPS so I went blind. It was a direct run from Labelle, Fl. using 80 E to Old 27, to the town of Southbay, right? So why did I overshoot the park by 60 miles? That's right, 60 miles. When I passed the town, I found myself on 27 thinking I would come across the park as I looked for a bunch of bikes, but little did I know that I had missed my left turn about 20 miles ago, so I continued and decided to gas up at the next station before turning around, but, there was no gas in sight for miles and now I was at the point of no return, so on I rode until I hit Broward County past I 75. There on the left, about ten miles further, was a Murphy station where I was able to gas up.
Next to the station, I ran into a bunch of Harley riders who were hanging out in this nice Tikki Hut Bar. My MP 3 250 definitely looked out of place parked next to theirs, but I had to use the men's room before headeding back east to my original destination. One rider, who had a mouth only a dentist could love, approached and said: "That there is one weird looking bike." I don't know why, but all I could think of was how Ned Beaty came across two undesirable good ole boys in the movie, "Deliverence", so I quickly took a few photos and peeled out of there pronto while I was still ahead of the game.
I finally found the park on my way back and made it in time to take a chance on their raffles. There was construction on the road and that's why I drove by the exit previously. Some of the Gold Wingers were already leaving, but still plenty of people there. I would say that it was a success for them and the pavilion there had ample room for all so rain was not an issue.
In case you're wondering, no, I didn't win any door prizes or raffles.

PHOTOS FROM PREVIOUS THREAD
These are the some of the photos I took of the Chickee Hut where I was able to gas up and turn around, and at the event I was supposed to attend. As you can see, not only GoldWing bikes were present, but all types including my MP 3 which was the only one on the premise.

Yup... I sort of like the denim vest, but I saw some high ranking Goldwinger with a black leather vest covered with pins, medals, patches, and what have you, which looked pretty impressive.

This brings forth a good topic, which is: Should MP 3's have their own club? This would probably bring awareness to a lot of bikers who have never seen a bike like the MP 3.
Maybe you can whip up a logo that would be amenable to all and then create a charter with by-laws and all that jazz. I'm sure there are plently out there in MP3 land that are savy with the aspects of starting a club with chapters throughout the world. An avalanche starts with a snowflake.

I want to make the first suggestion for a club name. The MP3 Stooges. Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk.

The first two are good but we can do without the Grim Reaper. Dutch, the MP3 letters should be in a darker color.
As for the MP 3 Stoges....you get an "E" for effort.

Now we need someone savy in "Charters" so we can get this club moving.

Why start a new club? There is already a huge scooter group in Florida with several MP3 scooters riding with us. It's the South East Florida Scooters group. Don't let the name fool you, we are all over the state. We have rides, meet-ups and events - SCOOTER ENCOUNTER and we hook you up with other local riding groups. RIDE WITH US
The LINK below my signature will get you to the group forum.

True, but as there are Gold Wing Clubs and Harley Clubs, which are both still consdidered motorcylcles. The MP3 is a unique type of scooter that could possibly have it's own type of classification and or club as a way to identify itself.
I am not advocating separating ourselves from scooters since we are in fact, "scooters", but, like this forum is titled, "MP3 Discussion" because of it's unique form of being (Three wheeled) we too should have some form of identity, to educate the public at large of the type of scooter we are.
I am registered on your website Janine, and am also a member of the Ft.Myers scooter club, of which I am the only MP 3 owner thus far. Once again, not trying to alienate, but just like the Vespa Scooter, I would simply like to identify MP3 Scooter owners.
