Guys, I bought my 500 in April. I got the extended warranty with the promo that was offered. However, my dealer is having problems getting Piaggio to fulfill/send the sticker, etc. While I know it's their responsibilty, I just want it done and want to push this situation to closure since it's been 6 months.

I've tried calling Customer Service for Piaggio (in NY) and the hold time has been brutal. And I've left message three times, per the recording and I've to receive a call back.

I want to deal directly with Piaggio at this point - does anyone have a contact or any suggestions?

From what I have read you will get your info on the extended warranty just before your 1 year warranty is up. So stop wasting your time.

I got my sticker a month or two after I brought mine home. I have no idea where the sticker is at this point. It's just a sticker. The two important things to remember regarding your warranty are

A) don't lose your receipt for the warranty. That is the warranty. Not the little sticker they send you.
B) Don't worry. Your warranty information is in their database. If for some reason it's not, see A)

Naw - that's teh regular warranty sticker. I bought the extended with my 400. When it was totaled I asked about transferring it to the 500. What a pain in my ass along with a lot of BS. I had to take my receipt down and after 2 months they *still* haven't made any progress to tell me if it's transferred. The last I heard they wanted the statement from StateFarm that they had totaled the bike. Jeez - isn't the word of the dealer sufficient? Just one more aggravation with Piaggio or the dealer - take your pick of villain.

I'm surprised that anyone would be willing to let your extended warranty transfer over to another vehicle, much less another model. I have never heard of that happening. I wish you all the best on that one, and let us know how it turns out should this happen to anyone else.

It took a little over a month for me to get the extended warranty sticker from Piaggio. The standard sticker is silver. The extended sticker is gold, and says "extended warranty" right on it.
