Hello!
I'm trying to remove the top cover of our P200. I'd thought that it'd just pop out but I reckon that the ignition switch and the speedometer need to come out first...and that is where I'm stuck.
What's the procedure I need to follow to remove the top cover?
Thanks!

Loosen the speedo nut (or detach the plastic retaining clip). You should be able to bring the top up and out enough to unscrew it, but you may need to feed the speedo cable in from near the wheel.

Be careful that the nut doesn't slide down the tube and get lost in your fork. That would suck. Use a piece of tape to prevent that.

Thanks, I'll try that. What about the ignition switch? The ring that reads "on-off", should I pop that out? Seems to be glued on. I don't want to mess things up.
Thanks for your help.

You shouldn't have to. It's attached to the top of the headset and connected by wires. If you're going to remove the wires and take the top completely off, you'd be wise to label them.

Great advice! Yeah, the idea is to remove the top completely since it's going to be replaced.
Thank you for your help.

I did it! It looked harder than it actually was.
Took the time to label the wires but most of the labels fell off, we'll see what happens when I try to start it.
