FYI

It all seems so simple now.

I saw this video and I really need to give it some consideration.

If this will work on a GT-200 and or an S-500 - life will be very good.

Best regards,

He must either have weak spings in there or he has been doing some exercises to strengthen his hands..
I had troubles squeezing mine only half that compressed...

it's a 50... hence, the easy compression on the contra spring.

just getting home from the shop. unwinding, answering emails, putting together parts orders and call lists for tomorrow...

Glad you noticed that. I wrestled with the clutch on the 250 by the side of the road... thankfully rolf showed me how to use a pizza box or something to cover the impeller blades on that thing... youch..
it isnt that tough once you get the feel for the cam action of the clutch: the twist and pull.

15 minute job....in the dark.....in a motel parking lot....been there done that...

Easy once you've done it a few times.

A folded shop towel works great on the torque driver.

Re: Yikes! A very fast / easy CVT Belt replacement!
This won't work on an S-500 or any other Master equipped scooter. The clutch and vari are inside the casing so you have to dismount them both to be able to remove the belt + you need real tools due to high tightening torques.

+1. You can't do it that way on any modern Vespa engine. You have to remove the clutch and the variator.
