I inadvertently deleted an email sent to me and want pretty badly to recover it, but I don't know the sender, but do recall phrases in the message.

Can anyone recommend a FREE recovery bit of software that might allow me to recover this message?

Are we talking about an online e-mail service or a POP3 account that you are viewing through Outlook or Thunderbird?

I'm sure you checked your deleted messages folder, right?

Depending on your Outlook configuration, it may be set up to keep messages on the server for days after you retrieve them in Outlook Express. If so, you should call your ISP or email provider and ask for help retrieving it.
