Modern Vespa

Anything new or different with the 2009 250 vespa? What is the base retail and out the door price? Helping a friend possibly buy a used one with loooow miles on it. I don't have a true reference.

Nothing really new about the 2009 GTS other than it now comes in two flavors: the standard GTS 250ie and the GTS 250ie Super. The Super has a different seat (black with white piping), black wheels, Super badging, no rear parcel rack, no running lights on the horncast and has vintage style vents in the right side engine cover. I think the Super comes in fewer colors than the std. GTS too.

Both have an MSRP of $5999 and some dealers charge freight and setup fees totalling as much as $500 or more. In the northeast at least, some dealers will be pretty slow now and may waive the freight/setup fees. That may not be the case in sunny San Diego however.

I have a '09 model, purchased at at the beginning of August. Same MSRP as the '08 models (for now). Out the door depends on dealership, supply & demand, and other marketing factors. Expect to pay top dollar for a new one.

Don't forget the gauges are different too...no digital display (whether you like that or not) and because of this, less info displayed on dash.

The Vespa site is (not surprisingly) not up to date.

Who knows what colors are available on either the 200 or 250 CC models?

Are they the same as 2008 too?

Correction, the 250 Super has the same digital gauge cluster. The 300 Super has the analog gauge.

My super isn't really any different from a standard 250 except like everyone has covered the visual things, seat, vents, badges.
Same shit different outfit.

I believe the GTS has a stiffer, more sports handling suspension as well.
