Laughing emoticon Hi, jimc, got the copperslip from Comma but it says 'Copper Ease' but when I saw the 'anti-seize assembly compound', I was sure that it was it. The applications for it is a lot. From protecting battery terminals to engine gaskets to the threads of spark plugs and nuts bolts, steering and suspensions, universal joints, and exhaust system. Remember that you recommended the copperslip to the shaft that is holding the rear wheel in my previous posting. As the rear tire have been changed just a short while ago, should i just wait for the next tire change to apply the copperslip? Without the proper tools I found it quite truoblesome to take things apart for just the application to just the shaft. Should I wait? Thanks in advance for any advice received. Cheers!

SH just remember there are many different anti-sieze compounds for metals. Be sure and use the proper one on the proper metal or you can have things stuck together real bad.

I had thought "copperslip" was some sort of
British slang for putting the bike parts back together.
Glad to know its a product instead!

"Copperslip" or "Coppaslip" are generic terms for the copper-rich greases which are anti-seize compounds. Not all are equal, and they are not a cure-all for all anti-seize situations. They do a very good job on most automotive situations though.

For exhaust manifold nuts or studs use an aluminium based grease, such as Optimol (available from most BMW dealers). For Stainless Steel - S/S connections (slip-on exhausts etc) use magnesium - Milk of Magnesia is your friend here.
