Does the forum die down a little when it starts to get cold out?
Or maybe the philosophy is "Ride when it's warm, post when it's not"

I haven't been posting a lot, but I've done bit of lurking and it would be a pity if the forum went on hold for a few months just because of the wheather.

But here in Texas I could ride all year around, hehehe.

same with California .... it was about 89F today

had to drop off a file to my printer and it was so nice .... and warm... to take out the bike today....

just have to remember to take a jacket or sweater at night now cause i just went to a new bar/restaurant, Downey Brewing Company, and it is 66F outside and yes to me that is cold.

Cold is where you live, not the outside temp ^_^.

It's starting to get chilly here, and I love walking around in short sleeve shirts, seeing all the people in eskimo suits give me crazy looks. Texans just can't take the cold.

Today, starts our Indian Summer...high in the upper 50's, here in Michigan....the last good days of enjoyable riding....
Of course, we have a few brave souls that ride all winter!

It's supposed to get to 61 today and 66 tomorrow. So today is the day that the scooter goes into storage.

It has been freezing the past three mornings, and my commute is before 6 am. I just don't do freezing (literally 32 deg F) and dark.

I rode most days last week with temps in the 40s, and probably will next week if it is the same.

The weekend looks better, might head to the Blue Ridge Parkway, is it less than 100 miles from my driveway

It's minus 2 *C out at the moment with a wind chill of minus 5.

It warmed up down here this AM. We're are sitting at 7 C.
I'm think of bustin' out shorts!

Just road to work, temp is 24 F. It was just a little chilly. Need to break out my ski pants.

LOL, I do plan on riding today to work as usual. No snow and no ice that I can see.

37 F feels like 32 F (according to weather.com)

Rode in, not so bad.

I generally ride all winter long. I avoid the days with precipitation and sub 20F temps. But other than that I ride all year.

I've ridden in the mid-20's F. I don't mean a short trip just to say I've done it, either.

Actually, I'm less likely to take the little trips in the cold than longer ones.

When it's warm, any excuse at all gets me on the scooter. When its cold, it's too much trouble to put all that winter gear on for a quick run to the bank or the post office. It is worth it for a long ride to work or through the countryside, though.

In practice, my gear keeps me comfortable enough for maybe an hour in the 30's and good to go for a lot longer in the 40's. I generally don't ride much below freezing unless the roads are clear and there is little chance of ice.

Regardless...I hate winter.

Rode into work this morning and the thermometer on the BV said -1 C. The little snowflake was blinking under it.

I was telling some guys at work about it saying the snowflake is telling you there might be ice out. They said "it should say take the truck to work dumb ass !"

you should make it a what AGE are you riding in what temp. ...... i know some people will like that poll

I think I'm holding off for a few more weeks. I told myself I would try to ride through mid november. I just don't have it in me to put her away yet. I have only owned mine for well a little over a month...

I live at the southern tip of the Catskill Park in New York. About 1 hour and 45 minutes north of NYC. This was what I woke up to Tuesday Morning! I'm riding my scooter today!

I'll pretty much ride unless it's raining these days... which it's supposed to do all weekend... it rarely gets too cold here to be out on two wheels.

It should be just as warm as
