I've always thought that was one of the most supremely arrogant things to do. Sorry, not everybody in this five-block radius wants to hear your music. Your life isn't interesting enough to merit its own soundtrack.

Now, it's like listening to some jackass have a loud cellphone conversation in a public bathroom.

The boombox equivalent today is some asshat in a half-primered losercruiser with big bling wheels and a trunkful of amplifiers that lets everyone in a square mile know what idiot rapper he likes to listen to.

Too loud? Well, when the door panels bulge with the beat, damn right it's too loud!

Exactly. But you forgot the part about the trunk lid vibrating and buzzing with every note of bass. I wonder if they really don't notice that. Christ, my seven year old son knows that various materials like metal and plastic vibrate at certain frequencies. How an adult can be ignorant of that is beyond me.
