But it does hurt your defense here... good luck with the sale. It'll happen sooner than later I imagine for that scoot. |

Two reasons I wouldn't go near that scooter based solely on the ad (i.e., and having no knowledge of this thread):
1) "Lamborghini" Yellow. Please show me the color in Lamborghini's palette that they named after themselves. Do you mean it is painted a yellow color that Lambo has previously used? If so, please find out the name of said shade, and use it. It's like calling Rosso Corsa "Ferrari Red." There is no such thing as "Ferrari Red," as their official race team's color has changed numerous times over the years (as has Lamborghini's yellow offerings). Name dropping like that just screams "douche" to me when I read an ad. 2) Your repeated mention that it is NOT a Viet Bodge. Oddly, I wouldn't have considered it such (it IS an SS180, after all), but since you mention it so many times, I start to 2nd guess the ad! Good luck. |

So...my money is my money. I am not a spoiled rich kid....but do feel free to say what you will, as misinformed as it may be. Also how did I destroy my PX150? a.s. We have had this discussion before..... Cry me a fucking river.....you crying poor is heelarious....... Don't try & bring any sad stories into the fact that you are spoiled & probably.....I am going out on a limb here.....a huge pain in the ass as a customer.............. You think you are entitled to the finest things while being unable to care for them or even actually afford them.. I recall your awesome "blog" or whatever that crap was..... You spend money you don't have like a drunk Russian sailor You are all about image..... Your PX?.....I have heard tales of your shenanigans with that bike....If I am not mistaken they were detailed up here?..... Strange how this beautiful bike has turned into some disaster....why do I get the feeling that you had something to do with it? I really don't care but your constant whining about it is pretty annoying. And the fact that you probably have given Collin the biggest headache ever...(And Victor @ Big People).. Sadly you like many others who buy over their heads when it comes to a vintage machine...ANY vintage machine by the way... you will probably end up destroying a beautiful bike........ why don't you trade your tickets to the next "Of Montreal" show, your overpriced helmet, size zero lady jeans & too tight ironic shirt for the following items: Be prepared for this: And This: Or buy one of these: Otherwise stock up on these: And shut the fuck up..... Your response is, errr, slightly more than tough love. I would venture to say that your post is indeed "spirit crushing." Anyhow, I will again state that no one feeds my purchases. I pay for all of my own belongings, rent, bills, etc. So please lay off that road, as it's based on nothing but own assinine assumptions...and you know what they say about assumptions. You ASS! Anyhow...I am more than happy to work on my bike myself. With a bike like my PX, I was happy to do the basics, but the SS180 is a new beast which I know nothing about. When I bought it, Volin at Sportique sent it directly to BP to have it set up becuase the two dealers have a great rapport and Colin wanted to make sure my bike was perfect. He was so kind as to even pay for the setup! When the bike broke down, BP told me it was due to a small amount of neglect on the previous owner's behalf, and Colin was nice enough to offer to pay to fix that as well! Why, in that situation would I fix it myself, when I had BP willing to do it, and Sportique willing to pay? Please explain? Anyhow, Thom, I had forgotten about you when I departed this board...and am glad to see that you are still here, making people miserable, and having no positive effects on this board. Well done. I will be ignoring your insipid posts. Thanks, however. a.s. |

Oh, Beard Boy, you're back! I was wondering how the bus ride was today? Also, I'm curious to know what vehicle you plan to purchase after your next purchase?
You're picture makes me think of this... |

Oh, I love riding the bus. That's where I get most of my reading done. Glad to hear you "liked" the beard. It's gone now, FYI. So much love on this forum. My next purchase is unknown, but the one after that will prolly be a Mclaren F1...then a datsun 510. Is that ok with you? Put it in the spreadsheet.

Your big spending makes my panties wet! Oh, a Mclaren F1? But wait, have you gone to a Mclaren board yet to beg for acceptance from random enthusiasts? I really love your posts, can you tell me what other forums you frequent? |

It's cool to hear you're considering keeping it still. Don't keep it though if you really are on the fence - I think a neat find like that should be loved, and I think a vespa rider should love their ride.

I think you said more by saying nothing.... these threads appear to be just proof of your buyers remorse..... keep searching for "the" thing... and keep posting hi-res pics of what you buy....... I will continue to live vicariously through you. and I only laugh at you because I see part of myself in your bad decisions and neurotic second guessing..... keep buying and posting... you're keeping the economy alive!!!! |

OMFG. Hahahahahaha! If this scooter has been such a "lemon" shouldn't we be getting a discount on it?! $6,000 is kind of a lot for a problem bike. I don't know guys, I think he's trying to pull one over on us...*snort* I wonder if those photos were taken on his $14,000 camera? P.S. His mom owns "rentals." P.S.S. HI THOM!!!!!!!!! smiley face 8) Oh, before I forget - |

HI THOM!!!!!!!!! smiley face 8) Oh, before I forget - I'll give adam credit for (trying to) sell it for $1000 more than what you said you paid for it on here though. With the circumstances surrounding the bike, it is a bit of a dick move, but like Barnum said, there's a sucker born every minute. But what I am really REALLY dying to know, is what happened to the first craigslist ad he had of this bike, that just had a square with 4 pictures of it, three of them with the scooter, and one self portrait shot in the mirror with the camera and the beard? Please tell me I am not the only person that saw that and had a good laugh of it. |

Wow, just, WOW.... seems there is poetic justice amdist the chaos of life.
Not to bag on poor Adam, but I saw this: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/902267862.html coming some time ago. It is a beautiful scoot and I hope it goes to a good home. Its like someone who adopts the wrong dog for their lifestyle, with the best of intentions, totally out of love, but yet its the wrong dog. Its bound to be a problem and a poor fit. (Sorry for the Dog Whisperer moment...) I will hold off on a scoot recommendation, since I fear it would fall on deaf ears. I just hope the next ride works out better for you, Adam. Hope to see you out on the rainy Seattle roads soon dude! |

If you look at the ad the way it is now, at the very bottom there are two right next to each other, smaller ones than the others. Before, on the top, there was one more of the bike's speedo on the right, and a self-portrait with the beard and $14000 camera (but no $800 helmet). It disappeared shortly after Thom's awesome post. |

Thom, MJ, and SneakyStella all earned an express invitation to the exit door for their participation in this thread, among many other accumulated offenses.
Thom at least tries to contribute, and I've tried hard to like him, but the price he extracts for his contribution is too high, in my opinion. MJ and SneakyStella don't do anything except poke people with sticks for amusement. I've said before: this is not ScooterBBS. If you want to act like ScooterBBS, then go to ScooterBBS. |
