"On June 13th, 2006 brothers Torsten & Ulick Baumann will leave Brisbane, Australia embarking on a 25,000 kilometre (15,534 miles) journey right around Australia to raise money for the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation.

The goal is to circumnavigate the Australian mainland including our island state Tasmania by Vespa PX200 Scooters in around 90 days, documenting as much of the journey as possible."

Some of their innovations might be useful for Mike L., and some of us others who are interested in longer trips than to the market, or work. I wanna go!

I like the saddlebag racks - they also double as the most serious set of cowl protectors I have seen yet!

My guess is registration, and that the years taxes have been paid. I know we have some Australian members who will straighten us out.

That orange plate is indeed the registration label. We have to place a new one on every year. They are made of sticky paper and are meant to be stuck on the inside of car windscreens, so for a bike you have to buy a plastic holder but after 12 months in sun these thing break down and start to perish which makes then a real mongrel to peel off. I usually stick it to some clear stiff plastic then I insert it in the holder so I can just quickly discard the old one at the time of renewal. It is a stupid system as I had one stolen of my trailer (same type of label) by someone wanting to transfer it to an unregistered trailer/bike.

I took my rego sticker and holder off and chucked it in the glove box. The cops haven't picked me up on it yet.
