Here is a picture of my favorite transportation.
The car is a '47 Nash. For the younger of you, Nash had its start in car making 2 year before Ford.
The Vespa is a 2007.
Vespa started making scooters in what, '46?
Dad bought the Nash used in '55 for $47 + tax!

My absolute favorite, I'm sure, will be my GTV. Mostly because it's a Vespa, and partly because it'll be the only thing I own with an engine in it.

But if I had my choice of anything on 4 wheels, it would have to be a Nissan Figaro (which for some stupid reason I can't seem to display a picture of correctly).
Unfortunately, they never imported them to the States. Those Europeans get all the nifty stuff, don't they?

The Nash is beautiful! You're a lucky person to not have to choose which one you like best!

Sweet Nash!

My grandfather restores model As & Ts and always has some old stuff around.

Here was my favorite vehicle, a '61 BMW R50S.
A one year bike, only 1634 ever made.
I bought it as a basket for $500, restored it over 18 months and sold it for $9000.
Honestly it looked great, but I like the plain jane R50 & R60 models better.

My great-grandfather started fishing at Cape Lookout NC in the 1920s.
Back in the day people would ferry junker cars over, drive them and leave them with the keys on the floor. When people went fishing there they would take cans of gas, and just walk around and find a running car to use for a few days.

Here is a pic of my great-grandfather driving a Duesenberg at the Cape in the early 50s. The car was a junker at the time, but today would be worth multiple millions! My great grandfather is the gent on the left.

In the 70s there was a massive cleanup when the Cape became a national seashore and thousands of old cars were removed. Occasionally when fishing there the wind or surf will uncover an old car, last year I 'found' a '51 Pontiac and brought a stellar condition hubcap home.

No I wish I did. Parts were so easy to find for the mechanicals.... I rebuilt the motor when it had 220,000 miles, drove it for 46,000 more and sold it to a guy who put another 75,000 on it before it just fell apart from MN salt roads. It bought my ticket to move to the USVI in the early 80's
