I feel the same way. Hey, for a minute, forget design. What's the first thing Vespa owners do when they get their scoot? They customize it so it doesn't look like just another scooter. They poke, paint, mod, cut, chop, and sticker anything they can. So if you discriminate because the mp3 doesn't "look" like a scooter, then you become a hypocrite. Mp3 owners that I know are the best ambassadors to scootering that I know. They're kind, love to talk about scooters of all types, and really branch the divide between folks who've always wanted to ride scoots but didn't care for the lifestyle or culture that comes from full blown motorcycles. I guess what I'm saying is...we deal with the mechanical fix ups, the odd looks, the smart comments from large cc motorbikes, and we deal with more than our fair share of questions. THAT'S WHAT makes it a scooter...not the fact that it's made by Piaggio.
