According to CyberScooter.it, the 300 Scarabeo is just one of a bunch of interesting new scooters that will debut at the Milan EICMA show. Here is a peek at the CyberScooter pic of the new scoot -

That's rather delicious - but every time I contemplate a new bike I look at my bikes and know I am completely content

If you're talking about the split, maybe first on a scooter, but not for a bike.

That's the regular Scarabeo headlight- on that body style. The Mana also has a separate high beam.

Here's its brother, the Piaggio Carnaby Cruiser 300:

Really smart-looking and a departure from the current Carnabys. I'm wondering if the smaller models are getting a redesign? (The recently-announed 250 has the old style, so I guess not.) Not that we get these in the US anyways...

The appearance of that scooter is going to upset some folks. A lot. If you overlook the powder blue paint job, it's very functional looking, isn't it? I'd like to see it in a different color than that powder blue, though. Even my wife thinks it looks a little too girly. I wonder what that scooter would look like in white?

Upset folks why? Because it looks more like an Aprilia and they moved the headlight off the legshield? I'm not fond of the looks of a lot of modern scooters with lights on the legshield, but always though the Carnaby was one of the better looking among those with this style. The Beverly 500 and 250 have the same difference-headset with light on the 500, lights on legshield on the 250-as do the Liberty and Liberty S.

Don't get me wrong, I think that is a very functional-looking scooter, but IMHO folks who have a fairly low tolerance for big wheel scooters are going to really dislike it. I say that because the design of that scooter is unabashedly big wheel with no noticeable retro design cues. In fact, the leg shield looks to have been largely inspired by the Kymco People 250. I may be completely wrong. It'll be interesting to see what folks say...

Strange how a traditional color/sex (pink/girl, blue/boy) combination for babies would be reversed for scooters. Except for pink, I don't view any scooter color as girly, but that's just me...

Not to dredge this up again, but... There's an innate feminine quality to most scooters, IMHO. It's the shape and the curves. Few scooters without this quality (Ruckus, Zuma, most maxis) appeal to me.

I don't really see the blue Carnaby 300 as being particularly feminine, but then again, I ride an Aurora Blue LX. I've gotten a couple negative comments about the color, but as has been discussed ad nauseam there are just those people out there who think all scooters are feminine. So whatever. (When I got cat call while riding my wife's pink Buddy, well, that came as no surprise.)

The wife is right here with me so I asked again to be sure. It's the powder blue she sees as girly and that's kinda how it struck me, too. Again, no offense, that's just IMHO. Photoshoppers, can one of you magically change that scooter like to see in another color or at least a darker shade of blue? Thanks!

That sc300 looks to just be the sc500ie with a smaller engine. It's not the sc200 with a bigger engine. They already make the sc500ie with the 250 engine but dont sell it here because it competes with the sport city (and possibly the sc200 although its more maxi sized).
Is the purpose of that sc300 to replace or supplement the sc250 (just like the sport city cube has the 300 but the regular sport city is still around with the 250 and 125 which we dont get either)

I wonder what the power/mileage is like.

The 300 is the 250 Quasar bored-out and the 400 is the 500 Master with a shortened bore/stroke (to meet licensing/insurance levels in various countries).

That's interesting, thanks. Looking at your modded image gave me an idea. It's really rare that I want to see a scooter in green, but this one is different enough that I'd like to see what it looks like in green. Anybody?
