Love the picture of the LX, but it's pretty big. And this is a good opportunity to demonstrate how to get a picture into an article: upload it to the discussion area, and then link from there. Like so:

The link for that image, once uploaded, becomes:

Hotlinking is disabled. You can't paste it into the address bar, but if you use that URL in an img tag, it will work.

You can't see the contents of the uploads directory, but the link directly to the image should work:
https://modernvespa.com/pix/uploads/vespa_lx_150_205.jpg And, as Ian says, putting it between image tags should work: |

I'm making some revisions to make this more consistent with the GTS article with similar information. (It's a lot!)
And a new photo showing both sides... |

Yeah, I know. I was just making an aesthetic observation. Practically, I would rather have a GT since my P is roughly the same size and capability as the LX.

The modifications and so on in the LX article are all just links to individual articles on those mods. The place to address compatibility with the 125s would be in each of those individual articles, which may then need a corrected subject line. The language re: "complete collection" of manuals is in the Workshop Manuals article and should be mentioned in its discussion thread. |

There's also the US-spec turn signals, but I'm not sure if this counts as a difference, more of a kluge for the US market. Other than displacement, final drive gearing, and the US turn signals, I believe the LX125 and LX150 are identical. If someone knows of some other differences, please let us know. |

I have just discovered that my scooter has a "Know Issue" which Piaggio is aware of and which they have told dealers to fix under warranty.
It is a problem with the swing arm mount which causes a horrendously loud and very annoying squeaking/chirping noise every time you go over a bump. The scooter sounds like an old rattletrap! I started a thread here: Really loud squeak ... and other assorted noises! (Post 516882) So the point of this post is to suggest that a "Known Issues" article in the Wiki would be helpful for the various models. |

I don't know if anyone is actually reading this thread ... but I got out my "Certificate of Conformity" and did the specs for the LX125 if you want to add it to your table shown at https://modernvespa.com/forum/wiki-lx
Sorry but I have no idea how to go about editing a table! Note: I converted all metric measurements so most of your audience will have a better grasp of speed, size, etc. Unfortunately, no matter what I do ... I cannot format this to look any better than the mess below. If you want me to send it to you in WORD format, let me know. Quote: There's one more difference that I've heard rumors of: I believe the final drive gearing ratio is different between the LX150 and LX125. The parts are interchangeable when the two gears are kept paired, but the ratio of gearing is different. 1:23.69 & 1:7.11 I have no idea what this means or if it even makes sense ... but that's what is listed. |

Another difference on the 125's is the handlebar "button" array as noted here: https://modernvespa.com/forum/topic23579.1

Hey TrafficJammer,
I just wanted to let you know that I saw this and I'll get to it soon. If you could attach that word doc to a post here, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |

Do you have the original measurements (metric) as well? I ask because those are probably more relevant to those in place where the 125s are sold, which I think is of more interest than a 125/150 comparison. We can put both sets on there.
The LX Series entry is going to be divided up into smaller articles soon as I have a chance to get to it. |

No euro turn signal conversion article for the wiki? That seems like a fairly popular mod.

I've split off the LXS and LXV into separate articles but didn't include copies of all the links for FAQs, maintenance, etc. in each one because it seemed once one article had an edit or addition, it would be a pain to copy that to each article rather than just the "main" one. I can copy them to each one if that still makes sense, though.
Jess, I can;t change the subject of the Vespa LX article to "Vespa LX Range." Do you mind? Thanks |
