Hi,

Any experience this? I just purchased a Cupini rear view mirror for my P200.
I think I installed it correctly, but I cant seem to get it to change the up/down
angle and it reflects the road with no horizon. I am not that tall either.

Is it round or trapezoidal? Does it have a long arm on which it is mounted? Can you change the position where it clamps on the arm? I have 14" trapezoidals where pretty much the only adjustment you can make is rotating the the whole mirror arm (where it attaches to the handlebar bracket) and the position of the mirror itself on the arm. You can get a surprising change of views by these two adjustments. Also, make sure you've installed the mirror the right way up on the arm.

Here's a pic of my mirrors:

Oddly, the legshield ones can be swivelled on their mounts, yet the 14" handlebar ones cannot (despite the mirror itself being the same shape and style).

Those brackets they mount to need to be bent down a hair downwards with a pair of pliers or such. Then they work great.

the one I got was defective. the neck was bent poorly and didnt allow the
mirror to aim in the correct direction.

I got another one, but to be honest, it just vibrates way to much.
I am going to return it.

If a mirror is vinrating so much that you really can't see anything in the mirror you may want to look at the bike itself for the vibration problems.

On another post you mentioned you were having problem with gas mileage and fouled plugs.

Check the bearings on both sides of your crank. If they are bad, or seated incorrectly, the crank could be moving slightly and causing probs with your seals. That would cause plug fouling problems and could also cause excessive vibration.

thanks Andrea for the response. As far as vibrations go, I did install the clauss studio's mounts on the engine and both ends of the rear shock. I think I will have to get used to the extra vibrations.

As for the bearings and seals, I just rebuilt the engine last week. I had the guys at baritalia look it over and everything seems to be in order. the plug is showing more of a carbon fouling now, rather than the wet fouling I was getting last week.. I am hopeful that a little carb tweeking will get things in order.
